We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be recommending the New Otani to friends and family. The staff in the Zen Lounge could not have been more helpful from start to finish. We booked three rooms and one room was upgraded. This made all of the difference to our stay. The room was spectacular!! The garden was beautiful and the restaurants/ shops in the hotel were very good. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to the Tokyo train stations. I would recommend all of the staff we came across during our stay. They were all superb, so polite and nothing too much trouble. We loved our stay at the New Otani.

This was our second trip to Japan within the past 5 years. Previously, we stayed at a budget hotel which was cramped and small compared to American hotels. For this reason, we decided to splurge and I'm so glad we did. Splurge on the deluxe room if you value space and comfort. It not only made a huge difference, but it made our stay even better. The deluxe room comes with a walk- in closet, huge bathroom, and the room itself was big enough for a King bed and sitting area with a couch and chair. The staff provided excellent customer service at all times. The hotel is not that close to a train station so be wary of that, especially if you have heavy luggage. Also, this hotel is huge and navigating it takes time before you know where to go and how to get to the area's local restaurants and train stations. The hotel grounds have a beautiful Japanese garden with waterfall which rivals some parks. The only criticism I have about our stay is dining. As do all hotels, this one charges a huge price to dine on-site. You have access to local restaurants that are within walking distance for half the price. If you want to save money do a little research online and dine off-site. There are plenty of options around the area.

My husband and I recently stayed 4 nights at The Kitano and overall we really enjoyed our stay. A few pros, the room was clean and larger than expected. The hotel only had 4 floors so it gave a boutique feeling in the heart of the city. The staff was friendly, especially at breakfast (but felt like they could have helped a bit more when trying to find dinner, which was a bit difficult for us). Worth mentioning, the location was a little far from the sights and not on the JR loop so we had to take the regular subway which took a little extra planing and time. The general area didn’t have many good restaurants so plan ahead. Even though we enjoyed our stay but as tourists we would probably select a different location next time.

The room and view are great, and the service is worthy of the price. The swimming pool is good, but children are not allowed to swim. The children are a bit disappointed. If you are a parent, you will not choose this place next time. Conrad’s facilities are not as new as Prince Gallery, but it is more child-friendly . This hotel is suitable for couples... it will be very graphic.

Absolutely top-notch service although the hotel is a bit old but they maintain the whole environment as if you were arriving at a brand new opening hotel in 70s. Almost as if you were walking through the history of time where the service is still at its excellency. It’s amazing! Those elderly women who work as janitor is also super professional. It seems like they work there since the hotel opening. Super nice Buffett and a great ambience of miniature garden in the center of hotel hallway. It’s merely a great experience staying here!

The greatest point is the location. It is in the half way (3 to 5min) away from both Liadabashi station and Suidobashi Station. As you know you may need to travel by different rail company routing in Japan, this hotel location caters that. We initially booked the stay here due to a very competitive price but were not expecting a lot tbh. We were pleasantly surprised. LOCATION. The hotel is located close to the city center, 10 mins from the metro station, with a well-stocked grocery store just opposite of it. Are is a residential one and really quiet at night which for me was a plus. ROOM. For a 3 person room, it was relatively spacious (not big by any means, but organized in the way that does not make it claustrophobic) with a kitchenette and a bathroom. I loved how well-stocked it was - we were provided everything we may have needed, including phone chargers, bath towels, disposable hairbrushes and kitchenware. It was also absolutely spotless, which I really appreciate. STAFF. While some staff members were more fluent in English than others, they were always very nice and helpful. If I ever come back to Tokyo, I would make sure to stay there again.

Recommended Fukagawa Meshi is also a lunch style and the amount is small. There are several kinds of small bread. I didn't swell my stomach because it was troublesome to go to pick it up many times. The breakfast was delicious. The size and hardness of the pillow are also good. I think it is convenient for people who go to various places because there is a station nearby. Stayed here for a concert at Tokyo Dome. The customer service at the front desk was very polite and nice! It was great to be able to stay in the room on the Tokyo Dome side. The room was clean and nice. We had breakfast in the morning and it was very delicious. If I had to say one thing, there were few types of amenities in the room and the amenities buffet at the front desk. But other than that, I had a very good and comfortable stay.

Hotel located in front of JR Suidōbashi Station and about 5min from the metro station, and also less than 5 min from the Tokyo dome. You have to register yourself and choose between facial recognition or cards to have access to the room and the elevators (the receptionist helped us with this step), the same thing to leave the hotel. Our room was not very spacious, the bedding was quite comfortable, the shower and wc spotless. We had self-service cotton swabs, razors, brushes and toothbrushes. Cleaning was done every 2 days. The breakfasts are very good, too bad the choice is limited there are only 5 possible choices. Good hotel.

Rooms facing the tracks can hear train noise, so it didn't bother me, but it may not be suitable for people who are sensitive to noise. I have a good impression of the staff's response. Check-in, check-out, and reception at the cafe were all smiling and pleasant. The room I stayed in had a raised mattress, so it didn't feel oppressive and felt spacious. I chose this as my first capsule hotel! After looking at the reviews and photos, I was worried until the last minute, but I thought I would be safe here. In fact, women were able to use the elevator with peace of mind as there was a private elevator where men were not allowed to enter. The bathroom and locker are combined, so you can take a shower anytime. There was a SALONIA hair dryer. The lockers were able to hold medium-sized items, and security was provided so that they could be opened with a card, so I felt safe! (I think it will fit a large carrier because it looks like it could have a shelf.) It was a little more expensive than other capsules, but it was cheaper than a hotel, so it was good. [Amenities] toothbrush set One large and small towel, and a towel for your feet. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in the shower room (the conditioner finally works after a lot of use) Loungewear (top and bottom) The mattress and pillow inside the capsule were comfortable. There was a Family Mart right in front of us, and it was also near the station!

Why should you stay at this hotel as a tourist? First of all, location. Only 5 minutes walk from Ichigaya JR & Metro station, across the bridge. So centralise that if you take the trains towards any direction at rush hour in the morning, you get empty cars, as the crowds are coming against you. Equally, as you return in the evening, the crowds are going the other way. It's a great hotel, super convenient, comfortable, nice and clean. But it is not prepared to service foreign visitors. Hardly anyone has minimum control of English. They will usually leave the call, or the desk, or pretend they cannot help, but once you use the term HELP, they will make everything possible to help, no matter how confused they are. I'd be happy to return and stay strategically here. Why not? The only reason to stay elsewhere is if you have a much higher budget.

This hotel is among one of the best in class and in this price range that we have experienced in Tokyo. Location is excellent, within 7 minutes walk of jimbocho metro station which connects to Shinjuku in 10 minutes ! There is a 7-11 convenience store right across the street from the hotel. Rooms are very good sized for a hotel in city Centre, well connected with Roppongi and Kudan****a. Room has all essential amenities and more. There is a desk and chair for business travelers who have to work from their room and attend meetings. Bathroom is very clean and modern. Check in progress was easy though everything was in Japanese language. Staff was courteous and helped us in every possible way.

It was my 3rd reservation there, because I like the location. However because of a misunderstanding on the staff side, the 3rd night my bed was given to another customer and I had to find another place in Tokyo to spend the night in. Following that I never got any apologies from the hotel, just a refund for that night (the bare minimum IMO) . Their check-in electronic system is a bit complicated and doesn't overcome the minimal presence and response of some kind of staff. There's a huge margin for improvement in this regard. The electronic lock system on the bedrooms's door is noisy when it opens And when it closes, so earplugs are highly recommended for light sleepers. Besides that, the location and the facilities are great.
