Hotel opened less than a year ago. Everything is new and the design is very modern. Location is in the middle of Shinjuku so it was close to everything. The hotel staff was very attentive and the connection between the lobby (on the 18th floor) to the concierge in the ground floor was always in sync. Breakfast at the main hotel had a great view for a nice clear day but selection is limited. They have a second buffet in their neighbour hotel (17th floor) that has more selection. I would not really recommend this hotel for younger kids due to its design but overall great hotel.

Fantastic hotel in prime location in Shinjuku. We stayed on the Grand Premier levels which includes a really nice lounge with snacks and drinks and a private dining room which has a gorgeous breakfast of both western and eastern choices. LOVED breakfast. It's a huge hotel but has a huge staff to run it. Our room was large, it was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Best part is that Keio Plaza is on the Limousine Bus stop route but we didn't want to wait an hour for the next one from Haneda Airport so took the bus that stopped at Shinkjuki Station and it was truly a 5 minute walk from where the bus dropped us off. Get off the bus and turn left and walk straight and you will see the hotel. That easy. Taxis are inexpensive and plentiful in Tokyo. We had 4 people in our group and often it was worth it just to take taxis vs. the train but the train system was easy and the location to our hotel couldn't be beat.

We were looking forward to return to Hyatt Regency because we enjoyed our stay back in December 2019 but was surprised to learn that the complimentary shuttle bus service was discontinued. We end up walking from Shinjuku station to the hotel. Again, we were informed by the reception that the Japanese breakfast was not available anymore due to the effect of the pandemic. I wanted to take a swim the following morning before heading out and was surprised to learn that the swimming pool was also closed. I might not stay in this hotel anymore next time since several of the service and facilities that were there before were removed.

Hotel is not difficult to find but it’s not near train station. The area here is a bit messy with tons of human traffic like tourists and locals. I don’t like the environment here as the crowd at night here seems a bit rowdy with many locals round n old here looking for drinks and entertainment. Early in the morning, like 7am, you will see drunk people stumbling out of clubs, vomiting and even pee on the streets! Yes it’s that messy. Overall I won’t stay here again. Too crowded but young people may like the place for its variety of food n drinks places. Hotel staff is friendly n room is decent size not too small.

Breakfast is good, the hotel is conveniently located in Kabukicho Ichiban Street. It is about 10-15 minutes walk from the west exit of Shinjuku Station and about 10 minutes walk from Okubo Station. There are many convenience stores and hot springs are also good. Enter the password, go to the front desk every day to get a new password, the service is particularly good, and it is better on the basis that the Japanese service industry is particularly good, which is a bit flattered.

Situated in a very good location in Kabuchiko. Right near all the bars and restaurants. Rooms are very small you can hardly move let alone find somewhere to put your cases to unpack. But apparently this is the norm in Japan unless you're willing to pay more. It's quite a walk with cases from shinjuku station especially on the busy streets so you might want to arrange transport or get the subway to one of the closer stations (Higashi shinjuku is very close) Overall not a bad choice if you're on a budget and just want a base to see the city. I wouldn't be hanging around the rooms too long but would definitely stay again.

Room is new, clean, cozy and comfy. My friend who is particular about hotel room loves it. She loves that the hotel has black out curtain, the bed, pillows and quilt are comfortable, bathroom is spacious as well. Lawson mart is nearby. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Not all staffs are fluent in English but they still try their best to assist us. When enquiring about taxi, the hotel staffs were unable to give us info like how many luggages the taxi can accommodate. I think such information is important because we don’t want to book one taxi and then realised it can’t fit all luggages. And we are not sure if we could get a taxi easily on the spot. The hotel could improve on this. Other than that, our stay is pleasant. We will consider this hotel again should we visit Tokyo again.

The hot water and water switch in the shower did not move, and I told the front desk that I had a shower with cold water, but there was no reaction. It was the most spacious than any hotel I stayed in in Japan. I recommend it if you want to stay in a spacious hotel room without having to worry about opening two suitcases, but it's not recommended for families as there are a lot of host bars on the way to the hotel. I thought it was a glamping-like concept, with hammocks and a cute atmosphere, but it also looked somewhat like a motel, so take a good look before choosing.

It was a bit quirky but totally suited our needs. Also the WiFi was good and the staff at the front desk were very sweet. We spent most of our time in Tokyo out exploring and this was a good base to do that from.

Great value for money in a good location near everywhere in Tokyo. The English-speaking staff provided great service and always greeted me with a smile. Remember you are booking a budget hotel and with that these are the amenities included: -Sanitation stations -Bath and sauna amenities available (I'm not sure for female patrons) -Lockers that fit hand carry luggage provided -Luggage check-in (can be made more secure/organized) -Smoking area -Vending machines for food and snacks -Near restaurants and convenience stores (so you can always eat out) -Your capsule beddings will be clean and organized (if you're accustomed to sleeping with an aircon, you'll be sensitive to the capsule's controlled temperature) I only stayed for a night to try the experience. I hope they get more foreign customers through this review.

We extended our stay at Shinjuku East Hotel twice as we got a really nice and big room (501). It is located an 8 mins walk from Shinjuku station in a quiet street full of hotels. Close to the (decent) red light district. The hotel has 6 floors and an elevator. Pros: - Location (if you want to spend your time in Shinjuku). - Free Wifi in the room (only) - not at the reception (you can go to the coin laundry opposite if you want to download your reservation) - Staff is very helpful for questions though sometimes the English could be pimped. - Brand new and ”big” (4m2) bathroom with a bath tub and a shower. - Free toiletries and daily room service (if you need that). - TV / fridge / closet / two chairs / coffee table / hangers. - The A/C worked fine and quiet. - Toilet separate from the bathroom. Bathtub and shower separate from the sink. - Elevator. - Quiet. - Two window fronts which can be opened. - Reception was occupied all the time we were there. - Good price 34-38€ / double room / night. Weekends cost more. - Curtains make your room really dark. - Clean white sheets. - Laundromats 20 meters from the hotel. - 7/11 and Family Mart 100 meters from the hotel. - Bigger room than most for that price. Feels more like an apartment w/o kitchen. (25m2 my guess) - Very light room both with day light and during the night with the lamps installed. - Complimentary tea & coffee in the room. Cons: - Wall hooks are missing. - The water in the bath tub takes a while to flow down the drain. - Window isolation is not the best. - The toilet is slightly too small and could use some renovation as it is a bit shaky. - The mirror in the bathroom with the sink is too low as you have to bend down quite a bit.. - Water pressure in the shower could be a bit stronger. - Light switch above the bed pillows which you tend to switch off/on with your head. - Carpets on the ground (that's a matter of taste). - The no. of electricity plugs could be increased. - The bed is a bit soft and small for two. Guess: 140x200. We had a very nice stay at the hotel and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a private room as most hostels offer beds for 15-20€/night/person this place is definitely a catch. Especially as you will get enough space to store your luggage AND move around. It would get maximum rating for a few adjustments (as mentioned above). Safe travels everyone!
