Hotel opened less than a year ago. Everything is new and the design is very modern. Location is in the middle of Shinjuku so it was close to everything. The hotel staff was very attentive and the connection between the lobby (on the 18th floor) to the concierge in the ground floor was always in sync. Breakfast at the main hotel had a great view for a nice clear day but selection is limited. They have a second buffet in their neighbour hotel (17th floor) that has more selection. I would not really recommend this hotel for younger kids due to its design but overall great hotel.

Having stayed before a few years back, we again found the Richmond at Mejiro perfect for our needs. Mejiro feels like a quieter part of Tokyo to stay in which we preferred, particularly after a few hectic days of sightseeing. It's still easily accessible as the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk to the JR Yamanote Line which takes you all over the city. Ikebukuro is only one stop away and has many restaurants, bars and other attractions. The hotel staff were very helpful and the check-in, our stay and the check-out were seamless. The rooms are also spotless and quiet. We stayed for two periods during our time in Japan and found the hotel great value for money. Will definitely return on our next trip!

Great hotel. Excellent customer service. Near the train station. Room is clean and new. WiFi is good. If you are staying in the superior room, do ask for the Mt Fuji view. We stayed on the 19th floor and we can view the beautiful Mt Fuji from our room.

The hotel is very new and clean, the staff is very nice and polite. We asked for the luggages reserve and they help us to keep it with signs that allowed us to identify ours luggage, more importantly the staff serve us with water right away we get into the entrance in the hot summer weather, it was touching and wonderful. The cafe outside is warm and sweet, I still miss the lemon squash. One little reminder is that the environment is relatively small but cozy. Though after closing the hotel door I won’t hear the noise from outside but the stairs hallway would give me a little bit scary feature as I was alone. In conclusion, it’s still an amazing experience.

Very convenient location to stay on Jr Yamanote Line and Tokyo Metro Tozai Line. Hotel is across the station so we didn’t need to drag our luggages far. Breakfast is a selection from 3 choices of main dish plus small buffet of salad, fruits, yogurt, curry and rice, coffee and tea. Taste and food quality are great. But after 8 nights, it becomes a bit boring. Also, we thought there would be some Japanese breakfast choices like miso soup, pickles, fish, natto, etc. But it is essentially Western style (although one of the 3 main dish choice is Pho in tomato soup which was my favorite). This hotel is also in the Airporter network that we can drop our luggages at the lobby in the morning before 9 am and have Airporter to pickup and delivery to Haneda airport for us to pick up same day in the afternoon. Super convenient for 2000¥ apiece. We didn’t spend much time in Takadanobaba but commuting to Shinjuku or Ikebukuro is only 2 stations away either way. Overall: good stay, great location. 👍

The reception is warm and thoughtful. The size of the room is acceptable. It is not depressed. It is very comfortable. The disadvantage is that there will be Japanese time reminders on the floor every morning. There is no room after a few minutes. Another point is that Japanese hotels often have no rooms on Fridays and Saturdays. They need to move away and store their luggage for 2,000 yen a day. It is not very cost-effective. Because there is no room to go to another hotel on Friday and Saturday, I will come back on Sunday, so the luggage charge is understandable but not consistent. Lovely little hotel in an amazing location next to the shin okubo which gives you access to the green JY line. The hotel was great value and I used it to stay for the Tokyo marathon for which it is an amazing location. It’s 3 minutes on the train to the start station of Shin Juku. The rooms are very small, it being Tokyo. I had a twin room so could put my suit case on the spare bed. If I didn’t have that there wouldn’t have been anywhere to put a large case and clothes. All in all a lovely stay

Don't normally write reviews, but this place suited me just fine. Great showers, small, quiet, clean, cheap (6 nights £100, booked in advance, trip.com). Kettle, microwave, small lockers. Small shelf in your pod for two cabin luggage size cases, 3x mains plug sockets, light. No washing machines, but launderette 100m. Great location for Shibuya, Shinjuku. 100m to Mejiro JR, Family Mart 50m, cheap (500¥) but good noodle restaurant 75m. Duvets are light as a feather, because they are real feather! Okay, I found one bed bug and the aircon is a bit low powered, but you'll probably find that in most hostels. I stayed in a chain hotel, last time in Tokyo and my room smelt of cigarettes! I really do recommend this place, if you're not wanting a party hostel.

A very good homestay in all aspects. The Chinese host has a smooth communication and a quick response. The price is reasonable and fair. Just a few stops by bus to Shinjuku and other places! The whole building has 5 floors. Try to be on the 2nd floor. Because there are only stairs and no elevator, it is not convenient to carry luggage. Fortunately, we are on the second floor. The house has complete facilities and the temperature is very good!
