The has incredible amenities for the price they charge! Everyone was warm and welcoming and made sure we were catered to at all times during our stay. The rooms were comfortable and what you would expect a standard room too have, the rooms were slightly rough around the edges and had general ware and tear but that didn’t bother us much. Overall very happy with our stay, and will be coming again.

So I was weary of this hotel as it is twinned with the Richmond. We arrived and straight away felt af ease with the staff. The place has a free pool table, dart board, nice swimming pool, jacuzzi outside and inside, sauna and steam room. Breakfast in mornings. We went into our room. One of the biggest rooms I have been in to date. Modern and just an easy hotel to be in. Staff were lovely and I have done over 100 hotels. This one comes out on top so far over taking premier inn and travelodge. The view was lush and for the price. A lovely bathroom. It was just a warm, nice atmosphere hotel. You can't eat there but town is just 300 yards down the road. They know me by name now. Jo not my name jo lol. So we will stay here again as it has everything you need for a comfortable stay and convenience. Thank you all.

We travel a lot. We stay in many types of accommodation from air B&B to travel lodges. So this is an honest review of exactly what this hotel offers. We had a gig at the foundry and my daughter and I needed somewhere to stay for the night. We stayed in room 12 and paid £42 for the room. On booking we were told we would need a parking permit for street parking at a cost of £10 per person. On arrival we were told we could us the car park at the hotel free of charge if there was space, which was great. As you enter the hotel the reception desk is at the front and was almost always manned with a. Friendly face should you need anything. We paid for our room, and we’re directed through the drawing room, through a large hall and down a corridor. I can’t lie, the drawing room is beautiful, quaint and clean and tidy, you can see the sea through the large double doors, with a small selection of board games and some cans of drink and snack available to purchase, they don’t currently offer meals but there are lots of places to eat within a short walk and you are able to bring food/alcohol with you but when walking through the large hall/function room, we did begin to worry, it’s very run down and in need of some serious love, or at least something to make it seem a little less scary it’s a huge space but the floors are coming up, the furniture it’s falling apart and looks like a bingo hall from the 80’s.The corridor to our room felt like we were in staff quarters or a disused part of the building .Our room had a bed, an ikea set of malm drawers, tv and tea and coffee making facilities. Along with an En suite style shower room. You could smell the room had been cleaned, the bed was neatly made and everything was dust free but it was very tired and had various minor repairs needed. The view from the room was a small disused court yard that looks like it’s used to dump garden waste from the rest of the property. The bathroom unfortunately still smelt a little bit damp but possibly due to not having an external window. Town was a 15/20 min walk or a 5 min drive away. With lots of places to eat and some stunning views. We enquired about the pool/jacuzzi and were told it’s open 8am-9pm. We decided to go for a swim before dinner, when going down the stairs toward the pool there is an excellent little games room with a free pool table and darts. The sauna and steam room were out of action but the room was clean with fresh towels a plenty. We had the pool to ourselves, it’s small and again a little old but clean and well kept. You exit the pool room out of what looks like a fire escape door and there is a beautiful Canadian style hot tub, which was also lovely and very clean but it did feel a bit like being in someone’s back garden with a plastic side table for towels and an old wooden step. The following morning, we were ready to leave and enquired about breakfast, a lovely young lady informed us everything in the dining room was complimentary and to help ourselve

Lovely hotel, we had a great time. Friendly staff at reception, and our room was spotless. For a budget hotel it's a grand building - all the rooms have high ceilings and there is a large terrace with good views. It's a 15-minute walk down to the harbour

What can we say, this hotel has by far exceeded our expectations after reading a few reviews. We were greeted upon arrival by a friendly young man on reception, I can't remember his name but he made us feel welcome every single day, the facilities are brilliant for the price we paid for our 5 day stay, we was even upgraded to a better room for free, which was a nice little suprise for us. We cannot fault this hotel at all & will be returning next year for sure. Don't let the few bad reviews put you off, it was a really comfy stay. Kind regards Kelly & John

Arrived Friday the 6 April. On arrival was greeted by a lovely man who upgraded us to meadow suite. What a lovely surprise being my birthday weekend. And a beautiful large room it was. You can take your own drinks in glasses and ice provided which was a nice touch.works are still being done to what I think will be an entertainment area. Nice walk into Torquay about 10/15 mins to the harbour. Lovely stay have been here a few times and have booked again for august thank you to three crofton house hotel

Great room, so big and had a great view and so peaceful. Comfy large bed, was lovely having space after staying in shoe box rooms as a solo traveller. Amazing for the price. Jo was so helpful even carried my bag up to room, first time I’ve had that in the UK. Many thanks for a lovely peaceful stay.

Can honestly say our stay was the best stay we’ve ever had in any hotel , right from checking in we were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much to ask. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spa facilities were just what we needed (although steam room and sauna were currently out of use). As soon as we got here the gentleman on the desk told us he was upgrading our room which was very unexpected and generous. Would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely be back.

We stayed here for a short two night break and found everything to be very good. We were in Torbay suite, a very large room with a seaview and a large bathroom, bath and shower separate. We were informed there was no breakfast but there is a nearby Hotel which did excellent breakfasts at a reasonable cost. The Hotel is a reasonable walk into town and we are oldies, so great location for the younger set. Sauna and Pool were. open and working well. Comfortable bed, clean bedroom and pleasant staff. Only drawback no bar or restaurant so no evening get together spot, but you are welcome to take in your own drinks, we took in two bottles of wine and staff lent us two wine glasses from the now closed bar. All in all a great place for a short break with plenty of nearby eating places so plenty of variety.
