I also enjoyed their hot latte (self paid) it was perfect for warming up as I stepped out and strolled toward my first stop, the Tromsø City Library and Archive."

"Since it's the off-season here inTromsø in the summer, the cost of staying is much lower than in many other parts of Norway. So, considering the price I paid, my experience at the Dock Hotel far exceeded my expectations in every way. The facilities are among the newest, and the design is rich in textures and shows great attention to detail. The bathroom, in particular, is very spacious. Other than that, I would also say the city itself centers around this hotel because it's the first stop of the bus that goes to the airport, and my guided tour also used this hotel as the meeting point. Overall, my stay was pretty much perfect in every aspect."

"My room has a partial sea view but there are better rooms with a full sea view. I went up to the top floor gym, and the view was spectacular! There's a door that leads to a small balcony, which u could take some beautiful photos. Breakfast for me was the usual international breakfast. There's not much to talk about. Location is ideal. Shopping is within walking distance and many restaurants around. Service staff was amazing. Great service provided."

There are 2 rooms on the 2nd floor with a few stairs down from the lift lobby. You may consider to put up a request to the hotel for no stairs if you do not want to bring the suitcases up and down the stairs."

"Stayed at Tromsø Cabins during our trip twice. The location is excellent — by the river, with mountain views, yet only a few minutes’ drive to the city. Our cabin was warm, clean, and practical, with a small kitchenette for simple meals. Parking was free and convenient, and there were plenty of EV charging points available, which made our road trip much easier. A cosy and quiet place to stay, perfect as a base for exploring Tromsø and the surrounding nature."

It is well-equipped with basic essentials for simple cooking, which is a big plus for travellers who prefer to prepare their own meals. There is also a supermarket located just next to the hotel, and a bus stop only a stone’s throw away, making daily travel very hassle-free. However, the room size is quite small. Once we opened up our luggage, there was barely any space left to walk around comfortably. This may be something to consider for guests travelling with larger suitcases or planning a longer stay. Overall, the stay was practical and convenient mainly due to the excellent location and useful facilities, but the limited room space did affect our comfort."
