Stay at the actual spa for tje best experience. Friendly staff, beautiful tiwn, warm, cozy hot springs. Retro, colorful design. Within walking distance of everything you need. 420 friendly courtyard, pet friendly. Would stay agian.

The Pelican Spa is an unique rustic and shabby kind of a place that has been a part of the T or C folklore and legacy for decades; you can love it or ..before leaving a negative feedback book your stay elsewhere.

While it’s funky and relatively affordable, the PAM-10 (overflow) unit was shabby and dingy. Coffee pot was dirty. No hot water. Throw rugs haven’t been cleaned in quite some time. The hot springs baths are a plus but it appears that they’re used by the general T&C community and not just hotel guests. My credit card was charged a random $3 fee and the gal at the front desk couldn’t explain what the charge was for …

Not for the spoiled.
If you appreciate simplicity and old fashioned architecture, you’ll appreciate this place.
Mineral bath area is included with your stay and many restaurants and unique stores are within walking distance.

Rooms are old and crumbling but cheerful and funky
Our room had no heater in 20 degree weather but they brought us a portable which helped.
Kitchen had one bowl and 2 of everything else.
Tubs are clean and deep but hard to step into

A beautiful place to stay with lots of vintage, rustic charm. If you are looking for "luxury", you'll have to find it elsewhere, and expect to spend at least 3x as much Quite affordable for the average person looking for a hot sorings getaway experience. Clean, fairly well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff.

The Pelican Spa did not disclose that there is construction all around their building making it impossible to access. Their spa is unclean

The ac unit is one of those old window units and is very loud, just as an fyi to other travelers.
This place is a good bargain. Staff was friendly.

I liked the funky-ness and friendly staff. But the room we booked had a very noisy bed. An attempt to use the morning spa did not have adequate pressure to fill the tubs in a timely manner - so we left.
