"We had to abandon motel as we couldn't put up with bad smell of room any longer it was even hurting our eyes it smelt like between a dusty smell and a stale hooch smell guessing was coming through the adjoining door behind bedhead to other room on right side think was a permanent residence room id say room we got had been closed up and it stunk also no heating we were cold so at after 4 hours we left and got another motel as office was closed so we couldn't ask for a different room I contact trip help they could not get in contact with management and refund us a lousy $16 won't be using trip app for bookings ever again so our trip ended up very expensive having to pay for 2 motels for one night stay very disappointed"

"It was a last-minute decision to bring the kids to Phillip Island, so I booked this resort. It's very close to the beach, and since it was winter, it was quite windy, so we just took a quick walk by the sea in the morning. We didn't book a room right by the beach. My friends did, and those villas near the sea are actually converted shipping containers. After watching the Penguin Parade, we wanted to eat at the resort's restaurant, but we forgot to make a reservation, so we had to drive to another restaurant nearby. A friendly reminder to fellow travelers: if you're returning to the resort after the Penguin Parade, definitely remember to book your meals! Check-in is after 2 PM, and check-out is before 10 AM. We arrived at 12:30 PM, which was a bit awkward. Communication didn't help, so we had to wait until after 2 PM. The staff here finish at 5 PM, and by the time we got back after seeing the penguins, it was already 6:30 PM and pitch black. It took us a while to find our room. Self-check-in wasn't too difficult though; they just tell you the password for the keyless entry, and you go straight in. The room has a fridge and a microwave, so heating up milk or similar things wasn't an issue."
