Itamambuca Eco Resort

We were here on the weekend of the 24th and 25th of February 2024. The staff were very attentive, but we were drawn to the rather outdated infrastructure, lacking improvements in both the common areas and the rooms, very old facilities, We had a problem with the air conditioning in one of the suites, which was only resolved the next day, despite the strong heat. Regarding the restaurant's opening hours, there is a certain inflexibility regarding the start of children's service, scheduled only for noon (or 12:30 pm, according to information that is sometimes inconsistent). For a hotel that aims to be welcoming to families, young children have different needs. Very good breakfast. The restaurant's food was quite good, but very large portions, with extremely expensive prices, compared to São Paulo, for example. The minibars were turned off, with hot drinks inside. I imagine that their quality must suffer, in this on and off. The gardens appear to be well maintained. The pool needed a little more cleaning, given the large number of guests. The beach service was very good. The surrounding nature is exuberant, enhancing the hotel's value. Unfortunately a hotel we would not return to. A shame, because the location is very cool, on a beautiful beach. Improvements would bring more life to the hotel, living up to the prices charged.

The place is incredible and had everything to offer a good experience, unfortunately they don't seem to have any concerns about this, the apar**ent has basic maintenance to be done, the beach service seems to be working in favor and is looking for a manager to talk about the stay It's a separate task, he's never at the hotel and when he was, he wasn't available to serve a guest!!

I really liked. The place is very beautiful, with lush nature. It is worth it. It is not a luxurious hotel but it has what you need for good comfort and to enjoy the beach and nature.

Good structure, built in the middle of the forest. Semi-private beach with deck and ferry. Time is already showing signs at the hotel, both in terms of maintenance and the comfort of the rooms. Worn sheets and towels, mattress already in need of replacement. Bungalow without sound insulation, we were woken up by the neighbors, hearing them using the bathroom! Good and expensive restaurant. The stay was not worth the price we paid!

The place only has a resort in its name. We stayed in a super simple bungalow, with a bad bed (soft spring mattress). Even though we were a couple with a teenager, they placed us next to the playroom, meaning we couldn't rest. The breakfast is ok, full of carbohydrates and without any differences. It was exactly the same the two days we stayed. The positive points were the service and the a la carte food.

Great food, beautiful and pleasant space. Access to the beach is easy. Attentive staff. However, the only thing I didn't like was the gym, which could have been much better, I found it dirty and poorly maintained. I didn't even feel like using it. Bad equipment.

I received a recommendation from some friends who really like the place and have been going for many years. Well, let's go! Positive points: Beauty of the place Contact with nature Self-service food that is simple but very tasty despite the high price (91.90 per kilo) Large swimming pool and open 24 hours Activities with entertainers in the pool and also in the river Sun lounger service in the banks of the rivers Hostel guests have access to all the hotel's infrastructure The a**osphere of mutual help motivated by the camping Extra activities such as theater cinema Well-equipped collective kitchen that is a great option for those who want to make their own food and an afternoon coffee Negative points The hostel It's only comfortable for a maximum of 4 people because it's very small and gets very hot! (we went in cloudy weather but if it was 40 degrees hot it wouldn't be viable) The fan is very weak for the room The beds are made of masonry in a bunk bed structure without guardrails In the hostel option the bathroom is shared but it is not in good condition! Many bathrooms clog because the flushes are very old and lack pressure Broken toilet lids Some showers that don't heat up They should advise their guests in more detail on what to bring! For example, a rope to hang wet clothes as the hostel doesn't have a bathroom or internal space for that Internal fridge in poor condition Only hotel guests have rain insurance As I'm from the city of Niterói in RJ it was very unfeasible to return due to the distance but The experience was very positive due to the exuberant nature of the place, I saw a lot of negative reviews mainly from hotel guests who complained about the value for money, we were scared but I was positively surprised at the hostel! The place is well looked after and I found the staff to be very attentive! I spoke to many people who said they would go there all their lives precisely because of the nature and very welcoming environment. Finally, I recommend it for the unique experience of having the sea and river at your disposal! But whoever you are, it's important to take as many things as you can use there! There is a grocery store inside and all the guests, especially those at the campsite and hostel, are very helpful! It is worth it!
