"We loved our 6 night stay. All the staff are so friendly and attentive from the minute you drive through the gate. We had the breakfast and dinner option and were pleasantly surprised each night with the excellent meals and variety. Our Mountain View room was extremely comfortable and kept spotlessly clean. We loved the hikes that start at the resort. No need to drive anywhere to do hikes. We can’t wait to go back and highly recommend this resort!"

"I booked three chalets (from Australia for family reunion in SA after 3 years) for 27 -29 December 2024 which turned out to be a disaster. Late check in (4-5 hours late), rooms were not cleaned, and toilet was not working. No wifi. I almost wanted to book an additional night or two, however did not. There was no offer to compensate the poor service and mismanagement of this facility, nor refund for delays and poor facilities. It's a pity that such a beautiful location is mismanaged and misrepresented. Trust and service will take time to re-build. Your future is not good."

We were lucky to have been there when it snowed which was awesome and so beautiful. The service from booking to our stay was fantastic. I really love that everything is how it always was - with excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful hikes, and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended. "

"We booked in for 2 nights on the 23rd and 24th of September. Our host Magda was warm and welcoming even at a 23h00 check in. She was so obliging and walked down to the guest room with milk, tea, sugar and coffee in hand to check us in. The room, kitchenette and bathroom was exceptionally clean. "WE WENT THERE TO CELEBRATE OUR 56TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. OLD BUILDING BUT EXCELLENT AMBIANCE AND NICE SHADED PARKING. THE ROOM WAS HUGE AND THE SHOWER WAS GOOD WITH NICE HOT WATER. THE BEST PART OF OUR STAY WERE THE EXCELLENT DINNERS WITH STEAK THE FIRST NIGHT AND LAMB CHOPS THE SECOND NIGHT COOKED TO PERFECTION. LOVELY THREE COURSE MEAL. WE FURTHER ENJOYED OUR OUTING TO THE SPIOENKOP BATTLEFIELD WHICH IS ABOUT 30KMS FROM THE LODGE."

"I had the opportunity to stay for a week at aha Alpine Heath, nestled on the hills of the Northern Drankensburg. It was like heaven on earth. The place is beautiful, well kept, the food is great, with a mix of local traditional dishes to international cuisines. The challets style accommodation is perfect for family or for a romantic getawa or even business travel. There are plenty of activities onsite but ill recomment the hiking. The site of the lodge from one of the hills in the hiking trail is breathtaking. The staff also, they are great, they make you feel like you are at home with your brothers and sisters. I'll recommend Alpine Heath anyday for anyone visiting the Northern Drankensburg."

"Day 1 Check In was easy and quick. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the self-catering Accommodation is lovely and spacious. Place is clean. There is everything you need in the kitchen. There is lots and lots of stairs inside so if you have leg issues or vision problems maybe ask for a disabled-friendly room. The lighting is very dim. A porter helped us with our luggage (I did see other reviews saying that there was no one to help with luggage). Saw some Zebra Roaming Around The timeshare tea at 3 was a waste of time. From the spreads that other resorts cater for, I was shocked with their tea. Was basically a plate of sugar donuts. We got back after dinner and the temperature started dropping. There was no wood for the fireplace. Not even electric blankets or extra blankets. Housekeeping brought us very quickly after calling them. We used the heater in the room. Warmed up quickly. Hotel dinners was delicious. Service for the lunch at the restaurant was terrible Overall a good holiday."

"I actually don't know where to start...This place was an absolute stunner.From the close communication from Paul the owner in directing us to get there,right to him waiting for us hours after check in closed. Then the breakfast was so fresh and delish!Lunch was okayish.Dinner was amazing! Fireplaces and candle-lit dinner in the background was a topper. The warmth of the staff and owners was exceptional.The air is super clean.Wild horses on the property made it super special. If you need time out,THIS IS IT!"

"We stayed five nights at Nambiti Plains Lodge and had the time of our lives. Safari is such a unique experience and we really wanted to make sure that we had the most organised and luxurious experience possible. Nambiti Plains Lodge we’re so thoughtful, so organised, and so attentive it was almost incredible. The staff know exactly where and when to see game, and we had ticked off the big five within two days of arriving at the lodge. We managed to see all of the animals possible, multiple times and from different angles. Our driver, Jono, was always pushing to go out longer and see more game. Your experience greatly depends on your driver, and we had such an amazing time because of Jono. All of the lodge staff were fantastic, the rooms were clean and spacious, the food was unbelievable, and the whole experience I seriously doubt can be matched by other lodges"
