We stayed in this hotel thinking it was close to the airport and a would be a decent place to stay as we flew in and out of SJO. Not close at all, it took us nearly 45 mins. to get there from the airport. Out of all the places we stayed, this was by far the most disappointing. The 1st night we got there late, staff was very nice & helpful but when we got to our room there were dead bugs on the fold out bed, and the mattress actually sunk in the middle and was so uncomfortable, the room had a very overwhelming bad smell. The following week we checked in one more time before our flight left early the following morning and this time they brought another mattress to go on top of the fold out sofa bed, which was no better, we only had 3 towels total so had to call to get more delivered however there was no phone in the room, we called from our phone & they didn't answer. Apparently the girl in training didn't think she needed to answer the phone, so we had to head to the front desk in pouring rain to get more towels. When we opened up the towels one of them had more dead bugs inside. Lastly, our reservation was one person more (6 vs. 5 reserved) pretty tacky to charge extra fees. In my opinion this hotel needs to look at the big picture and this really left a bad taste, especially with all other issues we had.
