Clean room with a beautiful view of the Archipelago from the balcony. Rooms are small but adequate and there were no hot or cold drinks provided in the room. The bar below was VERY loud for an 80s event in the bar below but was over before we wanted to relax on the balcony in the evening. Overall I would say the price point is a bit high but the hotel’s position makes up for the other shortcomings. Breakfast was excellent.

Go never to the bar and Restaurant. The girl working there is not serious. She is a nonchalant girl and gives you less in your drink then you pay for and she doesn’t care if you ask about snack.

We were not really happy with our stay. We paid almost 3000kr for a night stay and the room we got was really tiny. Nothing extra, no tea or coffee. Nor a fridge. We were really happy when they told us breakfast is till 11:00, we looked forward to have a sleep in. When we arrived to breakfast at 9:55 we were told to get what we wanted from the buffet because they were taking all the food away. We were really looking forward to enjoy a long breakfast with that beautiful view but we were rushed to eat, because they had to prepare for the lunch guests. This was a big disappointment! didn't feel welcome by the staff, it felt more like they were doing me a favour and i wish the staff was better informed both at check in and check out, about the hotels hours and even not trying to get me to pay for the room twice. Big disappointment!

We were only in the hotel restaurant on the day of our visit to Waxholm. The food was quite disappointing. We ordered cod and Iberian secret. The cod was overcooked, dry, and the sauce was slightly worked, based on cream and some other ingredients. As for the Iberian secret, with a lot of fat. Almost 30% of the meat was fat. This is not correct. I know very well the infiltration of fat that the Iberian secret has, this is good, but the one that arrived at the table had thick edges of fat and this should not be eaten. In addition, the Iberian secret was accompanied by chickpeas, which makes no sense for a meat dish, with chumichurri sauce and romesco sauce. Two powerful sauces in flavor according to the traditional recipe. On my plate, these sauces were flat, lacking flavor potency. In conclusion, two dishes with too many flaws. In fact, the best part of the meal was the bread and butter, along with the potatoes that accompanied the cod. It can be seen that the chef should have greater control over the dishes, select the best raw material and treat it properly. As for the service, the waiters are just students with no hospitality training. To conclude, I was expecting much more from a hotel restaurant that was recommended to me and I am quite disappointed in the food and the waiter service.
