We had an excellent stay for 2 nights, we had been to the pub several times but not stayed before. . The food was excellent for an evening meal and breakfast both days. The staff are extremely friendly and professional and could not do enough for you. The owner greeted us on arrival and was most informative and welcoming. The pub is set in the idyllic village of Waddington in The Ribble Valley with plenty of walks and two other pubs close by. Including the small town of Clitheroe. We would highly recommend a visit to the pub and stay. We will definitely visit again in the near future as we love this part of Lancashire.

Lovely evening meal, of mixed starters (duck spring rolls were great) washed down with some Bowland beers. Pleasant surroundings in a charming village.. Great service from Andrew, Charlotte and Bobby.

A very real credit to the village of Wattisham. A first class facility, excellent management & associated staff, Kitchen produced excellent food, amazing value for money. Restred our faith in British hospitality. The church clock bells a very very small price to pay

We sat in the rear garden on a sunny bank holiday Monday. It was busy but the tables were quickly cleared and the food looked very appetising. The landlord gave digs drinks of water and biscuits. There were 3 Bowland brewery ales in draught. They were very well kept. What a lovely experience. We’ll be back. Thank you.

5 Star Sunday Lunch Called ahead to ask if they could fit us in for Sunday Lunch as we were in the area about 10 mins away. Yes was the answer. On arrival the place was very busy with a range of people, families with young children; young couple , older couples , dogs were very welcome too. We opted for the Sunday Lunch which was Beef , Lamb or chicken , so we had chicken and beef. Both arrived piping hot with generous portions of meat, veg , stuffing and Huge Yorkshire puddings and super tasty gravy( a must) , so we scoffed the lot and agreed it was one of the best Sunday Roasts we had had for a while . Great staff and friendly landlord , so definitely recommend the ‘Waddy’ Also parking behind the Pub and lovely rooms should you wish to stay over. Brilliant 😀

A family of 10 of us 4 children and 6 adults just turned up at the Waddington Arms we had not thought to book. The staff did everything they could to accommodate us for an evening meal. The staff are friendly and made us feel really welcome as a family giving the children a table to themselves with games and pictures to colour in. A log stove giving a warm atmosphere with great food and bowland ales perfect. Thank You.

The last two occasions my family and myself have made a 30 minute journey to visit what was once our favorite place for lunch for many years has unfortunately turned into a rude and disappointing place. Members of my family made a visit last month and were quite rudely turned away by who was once a very polite older gentleman and always went above and beyond to make us welcome previously. The venue has a beautiful outdoor area which now never seems to serve food outdoors like it’s too much effort. I recently rang the venue to book a table for lunch as didn’t want to travel and be left disappointed, the lady that answered the telephone abruptly told me I couldn’t book on the day which I find strange I have never known any other restaurant/pub that doesn’t take bookings on the day, but hey we decided to risk it on what she described as it’s a first come first severed basis, I asked if the outdoor area was available which was assured it was. We arrived at 1pm to be told yet again abruptly by the older gentleman no availability even though there were empty tables inside, and a completely empty outdoor area both at the front and rear of the venue, couples arriving after us were also turned away. Everyone from this venue were welcomed at the pub up the road which was a lot busier but still allocated a table. Absolutely discussed to say the least. Won’t ever visit again.

We visited yesterday for a well earned meal after a Walk in the sun, and If I’m honest I’m completely dissatisfied . The service was shocking the lady at the till made me feel very unwelcome in fact I would say she was rude. After asking us which table we were sat at in which we did not now she said with a sarcastic way “well I won’t be serving you without a number “ then I ordered a starter and main ( starters seem very pricey for what we got )my friend then went to order his parts in which again she snapped “well you have to order all at once or chef won’t bring them out together” in which we were doing anyways. The mains came out after a shocking 30 mins and were not worth the money the chicken portion which is £18 was tiny literally half a breast 4 baby potatoes and some tomatoes , the salmon salad was good portion size but did not even have what was stated on the plate ( no sweet potatoes ) then 10 mins after a lovely lady came to say our 2 calamari’s will be 5 mins in which we said it was Camembert and calamari she said not a problem will go back and rectify. The lady at the till then stormed over with a calamari in her hand shouting to me that it was 2 calamari not Camembert I explained she was wrong and also mentioned that she had put mine through then had to find the calamari button on the till she also said “ well your paying the extra” I kindly said I will not as I had already paid my bill for what I ordered. I left hungry mad and to be honest shocked at this service the lady really made up feel belittled and unwelcome the table next to us even made comment on how she was. We have many meals here and have always been happy I must admit the portions are getting smaller and more pricey but I always would of come back for the atmosphere and venue. I will not be returning and will be raising my opinions to others in future

Had a Saturday night stay here for my wife’s birthday and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Check in was very pleasant and the your lady showed us to our room. Good sized car park to. Our room was lovely, bit quirky to as the floor was so un level due to the age of the building which added to the experience. Beautiful room with tea/coffee and a vey comfy bed with beautiful white crisp sheets. We had paid for B&B and an Evening meal and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu was great and there was a specials board to. I must comment that we thought the prices for the mains was ok, but the starters were well over the top. Most were £8+ and one was £11+ ! No need for that in my opinion. Breakfast was amazing and so were all the staff. We will deffo be returning. Thanks for a great time and see you again soon. Kind Regards Andrew
