The room and hotel were surprisingly sleek and really well designed - nice to have air-conditioning and a balcony! On a street a block away from the main walkable part of town and a lovely river walk. One small complaint - no Kleenexes in the room! A problem with for someone with bad allergies.

Es war alles prima. Meine Partnerin und ich hatten gestern den Frühstückszettel für den heutigen Tag erst um 21.30 Uhr abgegeben (statt spätestens 21 Uhr) und bekamen dennoch heute morgen ein wunderbares Frühstück wie die beiden Tage zuvor. S war alles bestens, auch meine Partnerin war sehr zufrieden.

Ik denk dat ik te hoge verwachtingen had voor dit hotel aangezien de beoordelingen zo goed waren. Het viel mij allemaal tegen en niets maakte enige indruk. Ten eerste kregen we een kamer die was ingericht voor gehandicapten. Op zich niets mis mee, maar als niet gehandicapten zijn de instellingen in de badkamer nogal laag. En een en ander was ook stuk. Balkon was gezamenlijk balkon. Kamer vonden we aan de kleine kant.

Tutto molto bello, molto nuovo e molto a pagamento: la camera è stupenda, letti comodi, tutto molto pulito e silenzioso. Condizionatore, doccia in condizioni impeccabili, mini frigo, balcone con sedie e tavolino. Una meraviglia: in camera manca solo il bollitore dell’acqua per farsi una tisana o un té. Punti critici: se vuoi parcheggiare devi pagare un extra di 7€ al giorno. Se vuoi fare colazione sono 15€ a testa e non è a buffet, ma a scelta tra alcuni tipi di colazione: colazione buonissima e molto ricca in ogni caso (raramente ho trovato brioches così buone), ma 30€ in due ogni mattina sono davvero tanti, sopratutto per chi è abituato a un cappuccino e una brioches. Zona strategica a 15-30 min da Friburgo (dipende dalla zona della città che si vuole raggiungere). Buone zone d’interesse anche raggiungibili a piedi come sentieri, rocche antiche, parco avventura, zoo, minigolf, laghetto ecc.

Das Desingn-Hotel Kronjuwel steht dem etwas verschlafenen Waldkirch sehr gut. Eine gewisse Extravaganz in den Gängen und Zimmern des Hotel bringt frischen Wind. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ausreichend - vielleicht etwas klein. Leider bleibt der Ausblick auch auf der Strecke -aber dafür hat man eben ein besonderes Design. Das Frühstück wird in verschiedenen Kategorien angeboten und an den Tisch gebracht. Der Service ist freundlich, unaufdringlich aber nett - wie eben das gesamte Hotel. Abendessen im hoteleigenen Restaurant ist nicht nur lecker, sondern ein Muss.

Schon mehrmals haben wir 1-2 Nächte im Kronjuwel geschlafen: + tolle zentrale Lage + schöne, moderne Zimmer (nicht all zu groß) + bisher immer freundlicher Service + gutes Restaurant ist angeschlossen * Frühstück möglich - 3 Optionen stehen zur Auswahl (ich persönlich mag Buffer lieber) Fazit - wer ein modernes Hotel sucht für ein Wochenende, der kann hier sehr gut übernachten

Das Hotel liegt mitten im Ort an einer Seitenstraße. Es war recht laut, denn sicherlich erfügt das Hotel nicht über schallisolierte Fenster. Mittwoch hat nicht nur das Restaurant sondern auch das Hotel Ruhetag. Wir dachten, dass sich das nur auf das Restaurant bezieht. Wir mussten an einem Automaten einschecken wie man das von Low Budget Hotels her kennt. Bei einem Schwarzwaldhotel bin ich so etwas nicht gewöhnt. Wir hatten nicht die Möglichkeit ein 2. Kissen zu bestellen, denn es war niemand da. Eine Minibar gibt es nicht und unsere Kühlkissen konnten wir nicht kühlen. Das Frühstück für 15 € pro Person war eine mittlere Katastrophe. Es gab wohl Eier dazu aber billige Wurst und billigen Käse. Die Brötchen waren altbacken. Marmelade und andere Dinge waren abgepackt. Das ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Schlimm fand ich Nutella auf der Etagere. Aus dem Kinderalter bin ich raus wo man Nutella isst. Im Ort gibt es viele Bäckereien, die bestimmt billiger sind und über ein besseres Angebot verfügen. Etwas possitives: es war sauber.

Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist top. Hatte ein Zimmer ohne Klimaanlage gebucht und wollte beim Einchecken wenn möglich das Zimmer ändern. Beim Empfang erfuhr ich, dass meine Buchung bereits auf ein Zimmer mit A/C upgraded wurde. Fantastisch.
Auch der Kontakt mit den Damen vom Housekeeping war sehr angenehm. Sie haben sich sehr gut um meine Bedürfnisse gekümmert.
Auf der negativen Seite fehlt, wohl aus Designgründen, ein Ganzkörperspiegel im Zimmer und die Farblosigkeit (nur grau oder weiss) muss man mögen. Ein kleiner Kühlschrank wäre auch nett.
