We went for New Years Day lunch with my husband and also a treat for my mom, who is over from Spain for the Christmas period. They offered a set 3 course menu. Each course had a nice selection to choose from. When the starters were served, they were very. We thought that it was going to set a good standard for the main course of which we all chose the roast turkey dinner with the standard roasters. However, when they were served, all three dinners were luke warm, and the leeks in cheese sauce was cold. The vegetables were served in a separately, the sprouts were not just undercooked, they were raw, and so was the cauliflower. Unfortunately, they were inedible we do like our vegetables eldenta but cooked. When the table was cleared of the plates, the waitress never asked if we enjoyed the meal. So, I actually mentioned the issues that we had and suggested that the chief tried the vegetables. On returning to the table, a waiter offered us a free drink we all chose to have the coffee as of which was also lukewarm. The table service was very good and pleasant. I just wished the food offered was of a good standard, but overall, it was a disappointing experience and would not be visiting again, and I wouldn't recommend it. However, the hotel is a lovely and historic building, and it's set in a lovely area. Shame about the standard of food

After recommendations from friends my husband and myself booked a table for Sunday 14th, early evening. We have been disappointed in the past, at other venues when eating early evening as the meals were obviously cooked with the more popular mid day diners in mind. We felt that Weston Hall would be consistant as the meals are priced around £30. The service was excellent, but not so the food. The roast potatoes had clearly been cooked earlier and reheated. They were difficult to cut into as the outside was hard and tough. My 3 small loin of pork slices were overcooked, and my husbands beef contained a lot of gristle. The 2 veg side dishes were very nice. £88 for 2 courses each, 2 glasses of wine, 1 beer and 10% service charge. We didn't complain as we didn't want to sour our experience further, and you must feel OK about serving food like this. Will not be returning.

Stunning building! Love the architecture! Really well kept grounds and stands out massively as you approach it. My friend and I had an afternoon tea booked and it didn’t disappoint. Couldn’t finish our food so they provided us with a couple of boxes. Great price, great food and lovely staff. Would be excited to go again!

We came for my brother's birthday and had the afternoon tea. It was wonderful. Proper tea with tea strainers, ten little finger sandwiches of different fillings each, little sweet cakes and scones which defeated us. These were boxed up (with an extra cup cake) to take home. The food was all of the highest quality and the service matched it. I dared our waitress to get her friends to sing happy birthday to my brother, he thought he'd got away with it but he was ambushed by a posse of gleeful young ladies as he got to the door. He had to blow a candle out on a cup cake while they sang to him. We had a terrific time. Would definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic couple of days spent there. The room was great, spacious, clean and full of character. The same can be said about the hotel. The food and the service was just as great. Definitely worth trying the cellar restaurant, as it has a great atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I can't have a bad word about the whole stay.

Gorgeous setting. Great decor and fabulous food. All the staff were smart in appearance, friendly and professional. We had only previously been to a wedding at Weston Hall but are friends had recommended lunch in The Cellar restaurant. Excellent value for money and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back with more friends and family.

I experienced afternoon tea at Weston hall. The building and surroundings are outstanding. On the other hand the afternoon tea was not as expected. The tables were coffee tables with higher seating which makes for an uncomfortable experience. The sandwiches were finely filled. The cakes appeared to be brought in, not of high quality and decorated with a strawberry. Was very busy, can only explain like a cattle market. Certainly not worth £26.95

Enjoyed a birthday afternoon tea. The portions were generous and the quality of the food was wonderful. We are both vegetarian and the choice was unusual, in a good way! I can’t wait to bring all my friends here to sample this outstanding experience!

The Hall is in an superb location and the layout of the cellar restaurant is atmospheric with lots of character. The menu is varied and well presented with interesting features. No surprise there was a wedding taking place which seemed to be amazingly well managed.
