The George B&B

Our recent stay at this establishment provided a mixed experience. On the positive side, the room was impeccably clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, a couple of factors impacted our stay negatively. First, there was a constant buzzing noise, possibly from the bathroom fan, which proved a bit distracting. Additionally, the location on the main road meant there was occasional disturbance from loud cars passing by. Furthermore, we found the breakfast to be underwhelming initially. Served cold with single items on the plate, it lacked the variety we anticipated. However, it’s worth noting that on the second day of our stay, the breakfast was a pleasant surprise as it was served nice and hot. In addition, the friendly staff made a very positive impact on my overall stay. Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that the central heating was switched off, impacting the room’s comfort level. In conclusion, while the stay had positive elements, addressing the noise issue, improving breakfast options consistently, and ensuring climate control would contribute to a more satisfying guest experience. The warmth and friendliness of the staff, however, added a significant positive note to my overall stay.

The George is a lovely B&B in Weymouth with helpful, friendly staff and a great breakfast, cooked to order with fresh pastries too. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The B&B is an easy walk to the beach and restaurants or a quick bus ride if the feet aren’t willing. The driveway is easy to miss.

Have just spent 4 nights at this truly excellent guest house. Plenty parking made a good first impression along with a warm welcome from the owner. Our room was spotlessly clean with a spacious en suite. Tea and coffee facilities in the room were welcomed. There have been many comments about the high quality of the breakfast and these comments are spot on. The owner was previously a chef and this shows...a superbly cooked English breakfast served by the friendly staff. The George is 20 mins or so walk from the town centre so well located. Book this guest house...as Guest Houses go this is one of the best.

I spend a weekend here each year with a group of friends and have always been well looked after. I'd been a little concerned about the impact of the recent change of ownership, but needn't have worried. We received a warm welcome by the friendly and efficient new team. The whole place was clean and tidy, and one minor ****** was very rapidly dealt with. The cooked breakfast was good, generous and rapidly delivered following our orders, while other options were also available. Another very enjoyable weekend, and I'll definitely return next year.

What a great find!! Great location 15 minutes walk to beach and bars. Very clean room with everything that you need for a short stay, excellent hosts will definitely stay again!! The breakfast fabulous!! Great parking, relaxing stay.Thank you so much

What a great B&B, I stayed in a family room with en suite room 7... it was spotlessly clean and very spacious the en suite was beautiful with little extras to help yourself to. The breakfast was Amazing and the owners and staff can't do enough for you. I'm glad I found this little gem and I will definitely be back. Thank you.

Nice,clean, on suite room. Comfortable bed. Lovely family run B&B in a nice area of Weymouth, parking on site, only a short walk to the town. Great breakfast! Many thanks to Mike and family. Will return with my wife next time.

Most enjoyable stay. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Our host and the staff were friendly, helpful and eager to please. The hotel is located near a short walk from the beach and from the shops in the centre of Weymouth.
