We stayed for two nights and were pleased with our unit. The kitchen was minimal but with the barbeque we managed to cook a steak and baked potato meal as well as two full bacon and eggs breakfasts. The bed was comfortable but watch for the small step up to it. The view from the sliding glass door was wonderful and the drive to Mont-Tremblant was short and beautiful. Rustic and charming. The manager was extremely helpful and pleasant!

I’ve been to Lake Placid numerous times and have always stayed right in town. This time I saw a great deal at the Hungry Trout and was so glad we chose to stay there. First of all the location was fantastic for our group who wanted to do a bit of easy hiking and enjoy the fall colours. What a spot for that!! Rooms were spotless, remote check-in was easy and we loved being able to eat at the restaurant which was excellent. I will definitely book in here again as I preferred staying out where it was quieter and then just drove into town when we wanted to shop and eat. It is about 12 mins back into Lake Placid.

This is a great place to stay in a beautiful area. The rooms are large and have a beautiful view. The big shower is awesome. The only reason I didn't rate it excellent is because the rooms are so dark. There is no overhead lighting, and the lamps have very dim bulbs in them.

This property sits right on the river for easy access to fishing. 1 mile from Whiteface Mt. , 2 miles from high gorge falls for sightseeing. Breakfast options are limited you do have to travel alittle for that.

Whether your Adirondack trip is about fishing, hiking or sightseeing- the Hungry Trout is the place to stay. It is centrally located within an hour or less of major attractions. Hiking trails 5 mins away. And of course you can fish right behind lodge! A plus is nice hot water and very comfy beds!

Staff at office was very friendly. Unfortunately we had a family emergency and had to leave a day early and lost our 200 for one night stay.wish we could get a credit for this.

I liked that the pool was accessible at all times, room service was excellent. I just wish they served breakfast we had a hard time finding places. We felt safe everyone was very pleasant.
