Overall, I would have no qualms about staying at the Mountaineer Inn during future trips to Mt. Snow. This property is well maintained and the rooms are exceptionally spacious. The staff are friendly and very accommodating, though having a second person on hand during breakfast would be helpful.
Breakfast was ho-hum; would love it if they added some additional protein options--yogurt was available--such as hard boiled eggs, microwaveable pre-cooked omelets, as well as things like pre-cooked pancakes, waffles, or a waffle iron with batter. (I know the inn advertises a continental breakfast and that these items technically fall outside this category, but it wouldn't take much effort to up their game in this way.)
The outdoor hot tub is large and I was glad to see that it had been repaired in time for our stay. The hot tub cover is somewhat unwieldly and may require two adults to remove it.
