Fuji Marriott Hotel Lake Yamanaka

Marriott staff welcomed us at the curb side. Check in was painless and soon we were off to our room. In room hot springs was a pleasant touch. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Even the Japanese pillows were soft and cozy. The food was top notch and catered to every taste. We opted for the dinner package—well worth the money. After dinner we rang for a late night massage…should have rethought that one. Asked for two therapist and got one. She had no clue what a massage was! Seriously!!! She literally poked at me with her finger tips. The pushed my head agains the pillow for ten minutes. Finally was had enough and she was dismissed with her full pay. Noted, she was not affiliated with the hotel, she was merely the lady they called. Please never call her again! Loved the hotel and the view. A must for anyone wanting a quiet getaway.

The room is normal, Japanese holiday house type. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from Asahigaoka Station. You have to go up a big slope. It's a bit tiring to walk with luggage. The proprietress is very enthusiastic and introduces various tourist attractions. The hotel has 4 bicycles that can be provided to guests for free, which is very convenient for getting around the lake. The most excellent breakfast and dinner, it is said that the boss cooks it, the very delicious Japanese set menu is beyond imagination. They also serve coffee or tea after the meal, which is very considerate. The 3 private baths are suitable for those who want a private bathing environment. It was great to take a bath with the family. It was moderately raining on the day we left, but the boss drove us to the station on time as scheduled. Thank you very much!

It was cold near Lake Yamanaka, so the pension staff took care of me and changed it from the dome type to the accommodation in the building without additional charge. It felt very good and I was able to spend it comfortably. There is no nightwear and it is cold in winter, so I recommend warm clothes. The room is very large, but it is enough to sleep. I made a plan that does not include breakfast, but there were about 2 cafes nearby from the morning, so there was no particular inconvenience. I would like to use it again.
