"We stayed here for our Wedding Anniversary and the service was just brilliant and flawless. We had a Signature Room, which meant we had exclusive access to the lobby bar located on the 6th Floor, where all Signature rooms are located. We benefited from a complimentary shuttle to our chosen restaurant located just a 3 minute drive on the resort. All in all, our stay and experience was memorable and topped off by meeting a really nice boxer, aka Conor Benn."

"Modern clean business hotel. Average buffet breakfast is extra £13 served from 06:30 weekdays and 07:00 at weekends. Evening menu felt limited choice and pricey. Great rain head shower. Really comfy bed, duvet & pillows. Unfortunately parking is extra £12 per night which I couldn't find advertised upon booking and just feels greedy!"

"Honestly, I’m not even gonna lie Mercure Hotel in Newport is such a wonderful place! From the moment we arrived, the receptionist who attended to us was super lovely. She explained everything about our voucher clearly, and even when we had to go back downstairs to ask her something (because I wasn’t really paying attention but my man was 😅), she was still so patient and kind. The whole experience was amazing. I had a really great night the bed was super comfy, the food and dinner at the lounge were delicious, and the service throughout was top-notch. Breakfast the next morning was also soooo good! The hotel was spotless, the vibe was calm, and everything felt just perfect. I genuinely recommend Mercure Newport to anyone planning to stay in the area. Whether you’re visiting or you already live in Newport, you have to experience how clean, luxurious, and peaceful it is. It’s such a relaxing and cozy environment! 🖤✨"

"Always spotlessly clean. Reception always very nice. Rooms have all you need. Comfortable and Clean. USB sockets, reading lights and lamps, Samsung 32” Smart TV compatible with with mobile phones, tablets and pc/lap. Desk with desk lamp and luggage storage along with open wardrobe and bedside drawers/unit. Large full size mirror. The Queen size bed is comfortable and has plenty of pillows/bedding. Bathroom is one of the best I have seen In hotels with modern and clean fittings. Subway tiling with chrome finish fittings, large bath with waterfall shower and over bath shower attachment for when just your hair needs washing. Huge fitted mirror with lighting and ample space for your toiletries etc. Towel rail and door hooks all complete the better than most bathroom. Towels and toiletries/hand wash/kettle and mugs, glasses, quality hangers and the attention to details all complete a good value room. The hotel flows on to the pub/ restaurant. Being Green King the food is all good. An extensive food and drinks menu. Easy and user friendly app allows ordering from your table for food and drinks. Overall the convenience of both hotel and bar with good service and good value a highly recommendable place to stay whether your here for business, leisure or just a night or two r&r The New Inn @ Green King always hits the mark. If you have breakfast with room it's served at the restaurant with hot & cold options Continental and Full English. Both perfectly presented and quality products. Parking for guests is free and input of car registration avoids any after stay fees."

"Hotel is located very close to motorway junction. Easier for travellers for a nights stay. The hotel also have enough car parking space. Unfortunately the room I stayed had a very bad odour. The shower and toilet were also cramped but I dint mind as I was staying only for a night. Not ideal if you are staying for couple of days and planning to spend most of the day in the room."

"Nice big bed , nice room , bathroom definitely needs upgrading tho , the grab rail on the side of the bath was rusted and exposed metal , shower dials are ancient, could definitely do with plug sockets on the sides of the bed to change your phone etc , no air con instructions but did figure it out , inside of the windows soaking wet in the morning but that's normal given the time of the year , paint around the main door was flaking off so needs a little maintenance , but it didn't put any bad feelings in out stay at all , just little things to point out , staff were lovely and friendly , hotel in general was fantastic , excellent breakfast served buffet style , room service was easy and meals were delicious with reasonable prices and staff were great , would definitely stay again was a great valentine's weekend , thankyou to everyone there"

"The room and bathroom are medium in size and clean, the windows can be opened, the bed is comfortable, and the wifi is good. There is a hair dryer, a hanger, no shampoo, bath liquid, TV. 5 rooms share a kitchen, stove, microwave, refrigerator, dining table, large and small pots, etc., there is a lidl supermarket nearby, life is convenient. Close to the city center, 10 minutes walk. A bit far from Newport Railway Station, it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the hotel."
