Anonymous UserFantastic location right in the city center, just behind the Old Market. It's a quick 5-minute walk to the castle and the Robinson statue. There's a bus stop right downstairs, making it super easy to get to the train station. The room was clean and tidy, and the mattress was comfortable, not too soft or too firm. They even had a Nespresso machine with coffee pods! My only minor complaints are that the facilities are a bit dated and the room is on the smaller side. The breakfast was a good English continental spread with a nice variety, especially plenty of fresh fruit, and you could order freshly made eggs or omelets. Service was excellent, and both check-in and check-out were quick. They even offer free apples in the lobby, though the air freshener scent in the lobby felt a bit cheap. Overall, great value for money, much cheaper than London with bigger rooms, better facilities, and a superior breakfast.

The whole stay was great, I needed somewhere to stay while work was being carried out on my house. The rooms are spacious and have bathtubs, there was a big desk for me to work at and the internet connection was perfect, I had multiple video conferences and it never dropped once. Housekeeping were kind enough to check if I needed anything everyday, and reception staff were super friendly.
Right next to a massive national trust property had some beautiful autumn walks
However there is absolutely no phone signal (Vodafone)obviously nothing to do with the hotel it’s just extra info about the area!

Anonymous UserPros: Pleasant stay for the price. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. The room had a nice bathroom and a little kitchenette, more than I was expecting to find. Very comfortable and clean bed - I slept like a baby.
Cons: The area did seem a bit sketchy and not somewhere I would want to spend much time outside after dark. The carpet in my room needed some work too as it was torn in places. The room was quite warm due to the summer heat which was helped somewhat by the included fan, but I still had to sleep on top of the covers to be comfortable. The elevator was also often stinky.
Overall satisfied with my stay for the very affordable price.

Guest UserMedium.
Even canceledl the second day booking the day before for urgency still couldn't get any refund. So the room will be perfectly available on the second day for anyone to take and the hotel still charged you full price.
Towel in bathroom has brown stain on it. No idea what was that.
Quite at night, breakfast is nice.

Loved the blackout curtains and quiet location. All in all a perfect visit. Buttery croissants and tea or coffee for breakfast and added bonus.

Xena_CSince we arrived in Nottingham quite early, we called the staff to see if we could check in early. The staff was very accommodating and arranged a room for us to rest. The room was spacious, with a view of the campus outside, and the mattress was extremely comfortable. There was also free parking. Overall, we were very satisfied.

Lovely hotel - couldn’t get a better location sadly let down by the size of the room (bathroom was ok) but bedroom was very tight. By far the worst problem was a lack of working air conditioning. It was a hot night and although an air con unit was in the room we couldn’t get it to work no matter what we tried. Due to the heat, sleep was a scarce commodity during our stay. If we’d have booked for longer than a night I would have not have slept in that room again if there was working no air con.

Traveling with a group of six, we booked two rooms, each with two double beds. The rooms were decent, and the bathroom and toilet were ideal, with shampoo and shower gel provided. However, the middle of the beds sagged quite a bit. It felt like a minor issue while sleeping, but I woke up with severe back pain.

Guest UserIn general, my stay was fine. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant, and I appreciated their friendly attitude.
However, there were a few issues that affected my experience. There were a number of young men staying on my floor who returned around 2am and made a significant amount of noise for quite some time. Unfortunately, no staff member came to address the disturbance, which made it difficult to sleep.
When I eventually began to fall back asleep, I was disturbed again by two pigeons making loud noises outside my window. In the morning, I noticed there were dead pigeons caught in the netting above my window. This was quite unpleasant to see and does not seem healthy or hygienic.
Additionally, at £125 per night, I would not expect to see worn carpets. The condition of the flooring did not reflect the price being charged.
Overall, while the staff were excellent, these issues did detract from an otherwise fine stay.
