We stayed at Swiss-Garden Hotel Melaka during our recent family trip and had a generally pleasant stay.
We travelled as a family of four, and the room size was comfortable enough for all of us. The layout was practical and there was sufficient space for luggage and movement. The room itself was clean and reasonably well kept, although the hotel does show some signs of aging, particularly in certain fixtures and furnishings.
The location is fairly convenient, with easy access to parts of the city and not too far from the main attractions. It worked well for our short family visit around Melaka.
One area that could use improvement is the gym, which unfortunately did not appear to be well maintained during our stay. Some of the equipment seemed worn and the overall condition could be better.
Overall, the stay was comfortable and decent for families, especially if you are looking for a reasonably spacious room at a fair price. With some refurbishment and better maintenance of facilities, the hotel could definitely enhance the guest experience further.

The check-in process necessitates roadside parking prior to accessing the designated car park, which can lead to traffic congestion. The hotel's car park, located on levels 7 and 8, involves a rather arduous ascent.
The premises comprise four blocks; two are residential, and two are hotel accommodations managed by separate entities. The room itself is spacious, featuring two beds, and is maintained to a clean and tidy standard. While there are four lifts, their operation is slow, and a transfer is required to reach the car park. Breakfast, a makeshift buffet of local, low-quality food, was provided; however, during my three-day stay, I opted for it only once as it was largely unexceptional.

The hotel's location is great, within walking distance of Malacca's old town. When I checked in, the Malaysian lady at the front desk collected a 50 RM cash deposit from me (which another front desk staff member refunded when I checked out the next day). Additionally, she charged an extra 28 RM for some unknown fee (Ctrip showed an 8 RM world heritage fee was due). I stayed for two nights, and Ctrip deducted 475.47 RMB upon checkout.
Room 512 faces west, offering an open view of St. Paul's Hill. The room didn't have a safe or slippers, but it did have a refrigerator, toothbrush, hairdryer, wardrobe, and hangers. The air conditioning was central and could be set to a very low temperature.
Upon entering, I accidentally pressed the 'make up room' button next to the door. Later, after I had gone to bed, a staff member rang the doorbell to clean. They were very responsible; I had to get dressed and explain in person that I didn't need the service before they left.

Arrived by bus from Singapore, and the hotel is super close to the bus station. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, and if you walk a bit further, there are two shopping malls. It's also quite near the old city wall ruins.
The earliest check-in time is around 2:30 PM, which feels pretty inconvenient. On the bright side, there are plenty of seating areas in the lobby.
The room itself is quite spacious, and the bathroom is clean. Overall, it's great value for money.
Everything is great except the breakfast situation.. Very limited drink choices. Teh tarik are finished and the dont refill anymore. Cuttleries and glasses also not available. Club lounge food and drinks also limited. When they refill the noodles are gone in few minutes. No time to wait for them to cook another batch which will take longer time. I didnโt visit the club lounge on 2nd day. Very limited drinks at the dinner buffet too. When we requested teh tarik they say only serve during breakfast (which we never tasted as it finished too) ๐ any water supply issue in Melaka?
They can serve free alcohol at the club lounge but couldnt care to serve more drink choices at dinner buffet which we paid more than RM100/pax ๐ย
We have been to other cheaper hotel but serve varities of ย drinks and great customer service too. The receptionist never smile. I donโt know why. I have been to Parkroyal Penang and Melaka both have this issues ๐คทโ๏ธ I dont know what is wrong with Malaysian hospitality. Maybe they only smile at foreigner ๐

Booked a room with 2 king beds for a 2 night stay w my family.
Pros :
1. Spacious room size
2. Comfy beds
3. Beautiful view (we could see the entire city and our window was facing towards sea)
4. Free Parking
5. 10-15 mins walking distance to the River Cruise
6. No problems with lifts.
Just some additional notes for travellers :
(If) you donโt want room service to clean your rooms bc you donโt mind reusing your towels, you will not be able to receive the complimentary water bottles.
For families with cars, (if) you need to travel back and forth between the hotel and outside, you will always need to stop by the lobby counter to validate your carpark ticket in order to get free parking and itโs only valid for 15 minutes (more than enough time).

The service and facilities of this hotel is top notch. Location might be abit further from jonker street but no problem for us as we are driving. There is free shuttle service every 2 hours to town if required. We had a good stay there and will return if we visit Malacca again. There is a bathtub too!

The hotel is in a great location and very convenient for getting around. The room was clean and well maintained, making the stay comfortable.
However, the breakfast could be improved with more variety. In addition, the egg station is located outside the main breakfast area, which can be a little inconvenient for guests. It would be better if the egg station could be placed inside the breakfast area.
Overall, it was still a pleasant stay.

DDaphne MQThe hotelโs location is absolutely excellentโright in the heart of Jonker Walk. Everything is just steps away, whether you want to explore the night market, enjoy local food, or grab a casual drink in the evening. Itโs incredibly convenient and perfect for a lively yet effortless stay.
One of the best parts is that room service is available until 10:30 PM, so even if you donโt feel like heading out, you can still enjoy a delicious meal comfortably in your room.
The breakfast spread is impressive and truly delicious. There is a wide variety of options, including Nyonya cuisine, Western dishes, porridge, Malay noodles, pasta, croissants, and fresh fruitsโsomething for every taste.
The hotelโs design reflects a beautiful Baba-Nyonya style, creating a charming and relaxing holiday atmosphere. There is also a small rooftop water play area where kids can splash around and have lots of fun, which adds a lovely family-friendly touch to the stay.
Overall, the experience was exceptionalโtruly a perfect stay from start to finish!

RRC8888Hotel is very conveniently located near makuta parade and 2 other malls, especially if you are going there by coach. There is a caring pharmacy just in front and many eatries around. Our 2 bedder family room was big and spacious but the carpets might need a wash and the room feels a but mouldy but we rented an air purifier that helped. Breakfast was average. Overall a good stay.
GGuest UserOur stay at Puteri Bay Melaka was great ๐๐ผ The location was great because we are able to have a good view of the beach, and it was near food places. The hotel reception and staff were also kind and helpful. Food selection for breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable and had a good sleep ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
The downside was that the toilet was not totally clean as there were strands of hairs sticking out from under the bed. Additionally, there were no toothbrushes provided in the room, and the prayer mat had an odour.
Generally, the stay was good although maybe staff need to ensure the room cleanliness and smell abit more?
I would still recommend the hotel for the comfortable beds and nice view and location beside the waterfront ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
TTiya TanOverall, this hotel is clean and comfortable. Here's what I liked:
- The room had carpet, but it was clean and odor-free.
- I really liked that the room had plenty of lighting! Usually, most hotels have very dim lighting in the rooms.
- Regarding soundproofing, even though it's by the roadside, I couldn't hear any car or motorcycle noise at all! However, you can hear the vacuum cleaner when housekeeping is cleaning.
- Parking was easy to find.
- The shower pressure was great.
- The air conditioning was cold enough.
I'll definitely be staying here again next time! โ

GGuest UserThe room that we stayed has leaking aircond and the breeze from it is not cold enough, it may be broke. The staff at the counter for getting swimming pool tags is not friendly. And I don't like the policy of under 6 years old has to pay for buffet breakfast.
