I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the overall relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
I booked a sea-view room right next to Gurney Drive. It was convenient to grab a meal downstairs, and the breakfast was excellent. The pool is on the second floor and open until 8 PM, but it gets no sun after 4 PM. A dip in the pool was perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The service was superb and very attentive.
The hotel staff were all very polite, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. They even noted my request and gave me a quiet room with no noise. The breakfast was decent, and the coffee was strong and really woke me up.
There's a mall right to the left when you exit, and a supermarket downstairs. Across the street, there's a 7-Eleven, and GAMA also has a supermarket downstairs. It's a moderate distance to tourist attractions, about a 20-minute walk, and about a 30-minute drive to the airport if there's no traffic. Little India is nearby, so there are quite a few Indian people around. I'm not used to it since I don't know much about the culture, but we mostly kept to ourselves. However, after each room cleaning, we'd find a few long hairs that weren't ours, which I hope they can improve upon.
A Modern Gem in the Heart of George Town
If you are looking for a hotel that is modern, functional, and incredibly clean, this is it. The bathroom was a highlight for me; it felt very premium with high-quality sanitary ware and a ”no-dust” policy that you can really see. The grey-toned tiles and minimalist layout make the space feel much larger. Beyond the room, the staff was efficient and the location makes it easy to walk to all the major sites. Secure parking was a plus, too!
I was upgraded to a Deluxe room but it was at the extreme corner next to the service staircase. Grateful for the upgraded but the room conditions were not up to par . Hair in shower room , the shower holder fell when I was taking it out and it dropped on my toe . Hence the blue black toe shown ( hehe ) . I could not sleep the whole night as the air con was very very noisy even when I lower the adjustment. The day curtain was torn . I sound it out to reception the next morning to see whether they can change my room as I was staying for another 2 nights . They did and I reckoned it was another up grade as now the room has a standing shower room . In the other previous room , you have to stand in the bath tub to shower and for a man of 65 , it is a bit tricky . The hotel really needs an up grade too . It is in a good location and CAT bus is nearby . The CAT shuttle is a complimentary bus that moves around the town area .
The saving grace for my trip was that the staff was up to par and reacted quickly . Well done on this .
Now , I wait for my toe to heal .
This is my second time staying here. As always every thing is perfect. They allowed us to have an early check in since the room was ready early. From check in to check out time everything was smooth. Luckily we were able to see again our favourite staff Ady but this time we saw many new faces. Thank you Ady for wonderful service again. Not forgetting Joshua as the Front Office Ambassador and the Duty Manager i forgot his name though. The housekeeping also maintained their good service to ensure our room condition was perfect. Kudos to Harun for the great work! And also thank you for the maintenance staff Rahim for assisting me to get better wifi connection. Please maintain what you all doing!
Although the hotel opened in 2014, the rooms' facilities and cleanliness are still very well-maintained. The shower has great water pressure, making for a very comfortable bathing experience. The pillows in the room were a bit uncomfortable for me – too high and too springy. The bed was large and the mattress was very comfortable. My room didn't come with bathrobes. It was quiet at night, and the air conditioning in the room was strong. Directly opposite the hotel is a large shopping mall, and a big supermarket is not far away. It's also within walking distance to various attractions. The infinity pool is excellent, with a good long lane for swimming. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10 AM, and the food selection is substantial and fitting for a 4-star hotel, offering everything you'd expect.
Very convenient location, within walking distance to KOMTAR.
The room is simple but clean and comfortable.
There are plenty of food options nearby, so you’ll never run out of places to explore and eat.
It’s easy to find, which makes check-in hassle-free.
I especially love that they provide laundry service for every guest staying here , such a thoughtful and practical touch. One night entitle to one wash
This hotel is, without a doubt, the best in Penang for service and cleanliness. It's quite luxurious for the city, but the price is surprisingly reasonable. The front desk staff, in particular, were outstanding. There were two people, RASHVEEN and FAKHRUL, and I believe a manager too, who gave us a sea-view room and agreed to a late checkout until 2 PM. They even provided us with drinks when we went to Penang Hill. The service was superb from start to finish. The hotel breakfast also offered a great variety of options. If I ever visit Penang again, I'll definitely be staying here.
The location is fantastic, right by two large shopping malls, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient—just a three to four-minute walk away. While you'll need a taxi to get to the old town attractions, it means the area is much quieter.
There's a Hua Yang restaurant right under the nearby Gurney Plaza, and the wait times are much shorter than in Kuala Lumpur, so I finally got to eat there!
The facilities are a bit lacking and can't compare to five-star hotels in China.
However, the service is excellent, and they even offer a shuttle bus.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing; they start clearing up right on time, and the variety isn't huge.
Overall, the service was very good and proactive.

Ssj91this hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.

AAnonymous UserWe were treated to warm, delicious cookies upon arrival and were allowed to check in at 11am, which was a pleasant surprise to us. Everything is within walking distance and located right next to the night market, you'd be in for a treat for local delights, such as the famoua char kway teow and lor bak stalls.
The room is clean with a good view of the city. The gym is small, but is well-maintained and equipped with a variety of equipment. Quite a lovely hotel.

HHeihemaI feel this is the best hotel in Penang, and even in all of Malaysia. The entire hotel has a European design. We stayed in the new building, and all the facilities and room amenities were brand new. The room was spacious, and the bathroom, in particular, was the largest of all the hotels we've stayed in during this trip to Malaysia. I absolutely loved the balcony, with its pure French black and white style. Sitting there, sipping coffee and enjoying the sea view, while feeling the warm ocean breeze – it was simply delightful! 👍 The restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes, and the ingredients were excellent. The waitstaff were all very attentive. I really liked the pool on the sixth floor; in the afternoon, it's perfectly shaded from the sun, making it easy to doze off on a lounge chair in the warm breeze. 😃 The hotel's location is superb. It's within walking distance to the old town, the old city hall, and the church. For the first time, I saw several street food stalls that had received Michelin recognition – the food was absolutely delicious!
SStitch626We had a pleasant stay in a sea view room with a truly fantastic view. The staff were also lovely and very helpful. However, we did have a minor hygiene concern as we saw two bugs coming out of the pipes near the sink and bathtub.
On the dining side, the breakfast included is tasty and authentic, and the variety is good—the DIY curry noodles (with a choice of vermicelli, mee, or kuay teow) were a highlight! That said, breakfast service was a bit let down by slow refills. Even with an hour left, there was no teh or kopi available. The machine coffee was also quite poor, tasting like bitter water without any aroma. A few tweaks to maintenance and breakfast logistics would make this a top-tier stay.

喜喜欢体验酒店的我🧼 Hygiene:
It's alright, generally clean. Didn't feel uncomfortable.
🙋♀️ Service:
Also okay. Nothing particularly surprising, but everything you need is there.
❄️ Air Conditioning:
I really need to mention this point 🥲 It wasn't cold enough... In Penang's weather, this is a bit of a drawback.
🚗 Parking:
Coming back at night was a bit of a nightmare. 👉 No parking spaces available. Had to find my own, which was a bit troublesome.
MMaboThe hotel's location is decent. Since I mainly used taxis to get around, finding food was easy with plenty of options nearby, plus convenience stores for drinks and snacks. The hotel definitely shows its age, but it's clean enough. There are coin-operated washing machines and free restrooms on the ground floor. Using Grab for taxis was very convenient and reasonably priced. It was easy to get to places like the Botanical Gardens, Kek Lok Si Temple, Penang Hill, or the ferry terminal – luckily, there's only one ferry terminal in Penang, so no getting lost there.
