The hotel was decent in most aspects, but it was really frustrating that they wouldn't refund me when I had to check out early. I booked for two nights and tried to cancel the second night on the day I checked in, which should have been fine since it was more than 24 hours in advance. The front desk told me to contact Trip.com. After Trip.com submitted the request, it took two days for them to reply, only to reject it. After a lot of back and forth, Trip.com eventually reimbursed me half the amount, so I still lost half the money. The whole experience was very unaccommodating for guests.
・A few days before our stay, my travel companion lost their phone in Tashkent. We had almost given up hope, but Mr. Mirfayz and the other front desk staff went above and beyond, calling various places and eventually finding the phone for us. They provided immense support, including arranging for us to pick it up, and we successfully got the phone back on our departure day. Even though it was a problem unrelated to the hotel, the front desk offered service that went far beyond their usual scope. I don't know everyone's names, but a huge thank you to all of them.
・There were many comfortable seating areas in front of the rooms and the reception. While waiting at the front desk, a staff member brought us tourist brochures for Bukhara and explained them to us. All the staff were very friendly, and Mr. Timur, in particular, was incredibly kind and helpful.
・The laundry service was prompt, meticulous, and thorough.
・It was raining and we were very tired on the day we arrived, but being able to use the pool and sauna made our stay comfortable. The pool area had many small, partitioned spaces, making it comfortable to use even with other people around.
・When we checked out, we had a taxi arranged, but the roads were closed that day, so we had to go to a pick-up point quite far away. The front desk staff carried our luggage all the way to the distant pick-up point.
They helped us with so many things until the very end, and we only have good memories. Five stars aren't even enough! When I come to Bukhara again, I will definitely choose this hotel.
I had the best time staying here! The room is very nice with a lot of amenities, the beds are comfy and there’s even a kitchen for light cooking. It’s located very near to all the main attraction and you can easily walk everywhere. The breakfast was so good as well, I enjoyed it so much! It will be delivered to the room every morning & there’s few option to choose from. Hakim is very friendly, helpful and attentive. He even printed me Bukhara attraction maps with a list of recommended restaurant. Even I came alone I felt very safe and welcomed. The rate is very affordable as well considering the location & the service. Highly recommended for all types of traveller especially solo female traveller 🫶🏻
The hotel itself is very good, clean, and tidy. The breakfasts are good, the location is simply superb, and the staff is responsive. Overall, I recommend it.
The only downside was the WiFi. We stayed in room 13 on the second floor, and the WiFi only worked normally by the window; the reception was very weak. Meanwhile, the WiFi from the neighboring hotel was fine. Unfortunately, the hotel staff couldn't help us with this. There were no issues with the WiFi on the first floor.
I liked the hotel. The location is excellent; literally two buildings away, you're in the center of the historic city. Shokh was a friendly guy upon check-in. The rooms are clean, with a small bathroom. The towels are clean. Cleaning is done daily. Delicious breakfasts, including hot morning pastries. I recommend it.
Was such a beautiful place to stay stay if you want to stay near the old city and I loved it. The staff are very helpful and kind and one of the staff let me check in two hours since I arrived a bit earlier. That’s the hotel has really nice ambience to eat and all of the amenities and facilities that come with it are exceptional as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would love to stay here, and I highly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay close to the old city to choose this place
My friends and I were absolutely delighted with this hotel and its staff. It's conveniently located, just a 15-minute walk to the historic city center, with shops and cafes nearby. The food at Cafe Minor was delicious; the lamb shashlik was both affordable and excellent. The hotel rooms are spacious and stylish, spotlessly clean, and smoke-free. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom has everything you need. We were even given plush bathrobes upon request. Breakfasts were perfectly adequate, with something for everyone. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
Room is clean and neat. Location is good that you can walk to many tourist attractions. It is run by a family. The two young boys can speak English. They are helpful and talkative. I would definitely choose this hotel when I visit bukhara again.
I had a wonderful stay. The most beautiful room I experienced in Uzbekistan. The hotel is built around a central open courtyard, with rooms on all sides. When you step out of your room, you’re on a balcony overlooking the space, facing the other rooms across the way. It gives the whole place a really calm, traditional feel.
What truly made the stay special, though, was the hospitality. The hotel is family-run, and the owner is incredibly kind and thoughtful. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, getting us water at night, arranging something for us to eat before a late departure, and helping organize a taxi. His son also helps run the place and he's really kind, diligent and attentive
Breakfast was also very enjoyable, served in a bright and welcoming room that made mornings feel relaxed and pleasant.
Overall, a warm, comfortable, and genuinely caring place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bukhara.
This is a guesthouse I highly recommend, located right next to the Four Towers Mosque in the Old City. The courtyard is elegant, and the rooms are neat and very clean. The owner speaks English and is incredibly friendly. The food is delicious, especially the pilaf, which is very authentic. I must recommend this place to everyone visiting Bukhara!

NNari.I recently had the pleasure of staying at Boutique Old City, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. Perfectly located in the heart of the old town, the hotel offers convenient access to major historical attractions, local restaurants, and vibrant الأسواق, all within walking distance. This made it incredibly easy to explore the cultural charm of the city without needing transportation.
From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the team went out of their way to ensure I felt welcomed. They were always ready to assist with recommendations, directions, and even small personal requests, which added a thoughtful touch to the overall experience.
The room itself was beautifully designed, blending traditional aesthetics with modern comfort. It was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with attention to detail in both décor and amenities. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after long days of sightseeing. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere despite the central location, which can often be a challenge in busy areas.
One of the standout features of Boutique Old City is its charming courtyard. It provides a peaceful space to relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and soak in the historical ambiance. In the mornings, breakfast was served with a variety of local and international options. Everything was fresh and delicious, and it was a great way to start the day.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the hotel’s authenticity. Unlike larger chain hotels, Boutique Old City offers a more intimate and culturally immersive experience. The architecture and interior design reflect the heritage of the region, allowing guests to feel more connected to the destination.
Overall, my stay at Boutique Old City exceeded expectations. It combines excellent location, friendly service, and comfortable accommodation in a way that truly enhances the travel experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic stay in the old city.

GGuest UserI booked a superior single room. I was a bit worried because I didn't get a response when I asked if it would be one bed for two adults, but thankfully it turned out to be two single beds pushed together, which was a relief. The room was on the first floor, a corner unit, facing a small courtyard past the reception (not the courtyard shown in pictures). Security was excellent. However, a downside was that the courtyard light stayed on all night, and the light coming through the glass window above the door disturbed my sleep. Also, the middle of the mattress was worn out, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. The reception staff were fluent in English and very helpful. Since I had an early check-out, they even prepared a breakfast box with sandwiches and an apple. Yandex taxi also came right to the hotel entrance, which was great. If I visit again, I'd definitely like to stay in a room facing the courtyard past the breakfast area.
JJWLoved staying here. Excellent, yet peaceful, location right in the middle of the ‘old town’, surrounded by shops and restaurants and most , if not all , of the important sites within walking distance. Friendly service, comfortable rooms and lovely breakfast. ( note this is Rayyan 1 hotel, next to the Synagogue, not sister hotel Rayyan 2, which Yandex taxi might take you close to, but still within walking distance)
GGuest UserThis is an excellent boutique hotel with comfortable rooms. It also operates a popular Western restaurant where I ate every day. The location is superb; right outside, you'll find the Afanti statue, various madrasahs, and the bazaar. Most major attractions are within walking distance.
GGirls who travelOur stay here was excellent! We decided to book this accomodation based on the other reviews, and it was even more wonderful than we thought! This is a home stay, and it was great to meet the family and speak with them. It is very close to the old city attractions, which made it so easy to walk to them. The family were lovely to us during our stay. The breakfast was extra special as our host made sure that we tried an array of dishes, and he even went out of his way to go to the market to get ingredients to prepare our breakfast. It was really lovely to go on the walking tour, we went to the summer palace and got to learn a lot about Uzbek culture during the tour. We chose to do a plov making class with the family as well, and it was the most delicious meal we had during the trip, and we really enjoyed learning how to make the dish and getting to know the family some more This stay was excellent and made us really love Bukhara, we highly recommend staying here!
kongzhongguanjing The room is luxurious, elegant, generous and comfortable. The environment is elegant and clean with flowers and plants. The interior design is spacious, comfortable and breathable. The quilts, sheets and pillowcases are all very clean and white. The hygiene is clean and tidy. There are cleaners cleaning every day.
