Breezy and bright life change begins in Bangui

Nowhere else in the Philippines can you breathe as magically as in this shore, right at the foot of the breathtaking windmills in Bangui Bay. The sun is out, but the clouds are thicker and the wind cooler, making it feel almost impossible to imagine you're still in the same tropical country. It doesn't matter how many times I have been here. Every time I see these massive windmills, they leave me in awe. Their power and grandeur is truly a sight. When you see them line up in a row adjacent to the beach it's truly a sight to see. I didn't know that Philippines had the first windmill in Southeast Asia, making this a historical sight too. There were no fees to pay. You literally drive there at your own leisure. It's very hot there though since there is no shade. Although the shores can bring feelings out of nowhere, the water is not good enough to swim, though. You can get swept away by the crashing and chaotic waves, just like most of the shores lining up north of Ilocos, but it is refreshing as you sit closer to the water. Having to spend a breezy afternoon here reminded me of a few words from Robert Louis Stevenson when he talked about windmills and love, as quoted, "here are, indeed, few merrier spectacles than that of many windmills bickering together in a fresh breeze over a woody country; their halting alacrity of movement, their pleasant business, making bread all day with uncouth gesticulation; their air, gigantically human, as of a creature half alive, put a spirit of romance into the tamest landscape." Ah, life. If your day feels gloomy and you happen to be near Ilocos, let's drive around the town here and don't forget to visit Bangui, where it's always, always a windy day. Bangui windmills is the ultimate, not-to-miss destination in Ilocos Norte, here in the northernmost part of the Philippines. It has a breathtaking view and the sounds of the waves coming from the beach. It was really fun to visit here because it has fresh air and the souvenirs were made by the locals. #staycation#beachlife#campingglamping#urbanexplorer#summervacation#nationalpark#awesomepic#givethanks#naturalwonders#beaches
