Fujian Changting Ancient City One-Day Tour Accommodation & Cuisine

This article introduces the ancient city of Changting in Longyan City. Changting Ancient City is one of the most complete, largest, and most representative ancient cities in China, with a history of more than 2,500 years. It preserves a large number of historical and cultural sites and architectural buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties. 📌Location: Changting Ancient City 🎫Ticket: The ancient city walls are free, but entering specific scenic areas requires a ticket. ⏰Time Route: day1: 21:00 Arrive at Changting Ancient City, Shoutou Street→22:00 Late-night snack at a restaurant→22:30 Stroll along the ancient city wall→24:00 Return to the hotel for rest day2: 12:00 Stroll in Changting Ancient City→13:50 Lunch→14:23 Electric donkey ride→15:30 Leave Changting ⛰️Tour Guide: ❗Sanyuan Pavilion: The city wall is well-maintained and still glorious after many years. ❗Shoutou Street: Mostly souvenir shops, quite commercialized and not very interesting to browse. ❗Ancient City Wall: The buildings light up at night and reflect on the river surface, creating a pretty scene. ❗Taiping Bridge: The weather blesses the scenery on both sides of the Ting River, which is beautiful and quaint. ⚠️It's hard to get a taxi in Changting. There are many shared electric donkeys on the streets, and there are not many pedestrians, so riding is smooth, especially a section that passes through the ancient city, giving a feeling of traveling through time. Riding an electric donkey turned out to be our happiest memory in Changting 🍚Cuisine: ❗Shoutou Street: 【Changting Stinky Tofu】 Changting's dried tofu is famous, and there are shops selling dried tofu souvenirs everywhere. But we wanted to eat freshly made ones, so we bought this stinky tofu, which doesn't smell bad, but is full of bean flavor! ❗【A Certain Restaurant】⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ →Environment: Spacious with plenty of seats, the overall environment is average but clean →Dishes: Features various local specialties, such as boiled beef, boiled pig tongue, etc. Unfortunately, the two of us couldn't eat them all, otherwise, we would have liked to try everything! Boiled Pig Kidney: The pig kidney slices are large and crisp, without any gamey taste, the soup is just salty enough, and very savory. Stuffed Meat Cooked Noodles: The beef is plentiful, and the soup is rich. 🏠Accommodation: 【Yijia Hotel】 Hotels in Changting were quite tight during the National Day holiday, mostly fully booked. We looked around and only found this one available for on-the-spot booking, which was fairly clean, but not very cost-effective. If you plan to visit during the National Day holiday, it is recommended to book in advance. 🎈Overall Review: ❗From a tourism perspective: ⭐⭐⭐ The attractions are quite scattered, mainly focusing on historical introductions, with relatively limited entertainment. ❗From a photography perspective: ⭐⭐⭐ Some parts of the ancient city are within the urban area, and modern residential buildings may appear in the frame. The daytime scenery of Taiping Bridge is quite nice!
