The city's charm embraced me as I explored the Hakodate Orthodox Church, with its elegant Byzantine architecture and serene ambiance. The nearby Catholic Church Hakodate Motomachi captivated me with its Gothic beauty, standing as a testament to the city's rich cultural tapestry. Amidst the snow-covered streets, I experienced a unique blend of history and spirituality. As I gazed at the stunning stained glass windows, the winter sun painted vibrant hues across the interiors. The memories linger, etched in the walls of these sacred structures. In 2024, I wish to go there again, to relive the tranquil magic that Hakodate bestowed upon me.
