Yun She Village - The Wind and Rain Bridge on the Taiping River

When people get to Tongren, they all know to go to Fanjing Mountain, but they don't know that there is a 'First Tujia Village in China' hidden at the foot of Fanjing Mountain - Yun She Village. It is said that this is a place where immortals once lived. In fact, 'Yun She' is Tujia language, and its real meaning is 'the place where monkeys drink water'. Yun She Village is located on the eastern slope of Fanjing Mountain, on the bank of the Taiping River and upstream of the Jinjiang River, backed by Cen Mang Slope and facing Ba Yuan Slope. The Wind and Rain Bridge was the entrance to the ancient village, spanning the Taiping River at the entrance of the village. The villagers live together, and two rivers run through the village. The blue stone alleys in the village connect the whole village. The Wind and Rain Bridge has become the most beautiful scenery on the Taiping River and also the blessing bridge for the villagers of Yun She Village.
