WUXIPENG.

In many scenic spots in Gulangyu, Xiamen, Xinzhuang Garden is a special place. It was a private villa of Taiwan businessman Lin Erjia before 1955. Uncle is the "word" of Linerjia, and Xinzhuang Garden is named after the homonym of his words. The green trees in the garden are sprouting, and the boulder stands on the seashore. The strange place is that the side of the arch bridge is the rough sea, and the other end of the arch bridge is the inner lake that is as quiet as the mirror. The clear water reflects the blue sky, white clouds, pavilions, winding paths, and vegetation, creating a classical artistic conception of poetry and painting. Speaking of Xinzhuang Garden, I have to mention the legendary life of the owner Lin Erjia. Lin Jias father, Lin Weiyuan, is a businessman and an official of the Qing Dynasty. He served as the Minister of Defense of Taiwans Sui Fu and the regiment. Lin Weiyuan was originally from Jiaomei Township, Longxi County, Fujian Province. His ancestors moved to Taiwan's fresh water in the early years and relied on the colonization. It is one of the local families. Linjia has a luxurious and exquisite Banqiao villa in Taiwan, where Linerjia lived from childhood. After the defeat of the Sino-Japanese War, the Qing government signed the Treaty of Shimonoseki, which squandered the country and humiliated the country, ceded Taiwan to Japan, and forced the officers and men stationed in Taiwan to return to the mainland. Lin Weiyuan did not dare to resist the purpose. He had to travel to Xiamen and settled in Gulangyu. Because of living in Taiwan since childhood, the nostalgia is strong. With the growth of years, Lin Erjia, who settled in Xiamen and inherits his father's business, is more and more missed on the grass and trees of the old place. In 1913, he hired a famous teacher to build the Xinzhuang Garden in accordance with the architectural style of Banqiao Villa in Taiwan.
