Queen Sofia Arts Center Experience and Recommendations

【Introduction】: The Queen Sofia Arts Center, one of the three major museums in Madrid, is located opposite the ATOCHA train station, mainly featuring modern and contemporary art works. It boasts a collection of modern abstract and surrealism works from painters including Picasso, Dalí, Miró, and others. From February to March, there is a special exhibition of Picasso 1906, showcasing the transformation process from Picasso's early style to his later abstract style. 🕘【Opening Hours】: Refer to image 13, it is free to the public from Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 9 am, and from 7 pm to 9 pm. You can also buy tickets in advance on the website and scan the code to enter directly. The museum is quite large and there are many paintings, personally, I think two hours is definitely not enough, if you have time, at least half a day should be reserved for the visit. Additionally, audio guides are available for 4 euros each, which can be rented after entering. 💴【Ticket Price】: The total ticket price for entry in February is 12 euros, including the special exhibition of Picasso 1906. 🚌【Transportation Tips】: It is located opposite the atocha train station, take the subway line 1 to the arte de estacion station, the one before ATOCHA, and you will arrive in one minute without crossing the road. 🧡Tips: Picasso's large painting 'Guernica' is exhibited in Room 205. Image 1. It depicts the horrific scene of the bombing of the small town of Guernica during the civil war, and is an indictment of war and a call for humanity. In addition, rooms 205/206/207 focus on the works of modern masters such as Picasso, Dalí, and Miró, with both early and late periods.
