Shanxi Travel | Shuanglin Temple in Pingyao

When you get to the ancient city of Pingyao, you can go to the nearby Shuanglin Temple, it costs more than 20 yuan to take a taxi from the ancient city of Pingyao. Shuanglin Temple was built earlier than the Northern Qi Dynasty, and it has been around for about 1500 years. The most exciting thing about Shuanglin Temple is its 2052 Ming Dynasty colored sculptures, which are lifelike and can be called a treasure trove of sculpture art. Shuanglin Temple has three courtyards in front and back, and the most favorite Thousand Buddha Hall has more than 500 colored sculptures, accounting for a quarter of the entire temple. The main statue "Free Bodhisattva" (Figure 3⃣️) is in a comfortable and self-satisfied posture, with a calm expression. The radiant Weituo (Figure 2⃣️) in front of him is wearing armor, and the twisting body is full of power, and the eyes and posture are perfectly combined. This Weituo statue is the classic of the temple's classics, known as "the world's first Weituo", and is included in the "Complete Works of Chinese Art".
