Tushan Town is a famous northern Jiangsu town with a history of over 2000 years. In the chapter 'Guan Yu Makes Three Conditions at Tushan' of 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms', Guan Yu was trapped in Tushan, which refers to the Tushan within the territory of Tushan Town! As the foremost among the five ancient temples of Tushan, it is the largest Guandi Temple in Jiangsu Province, originally built in the mid-Ming Dynasty in 1460. It has been over 540 years since then, undergoing four major renovations during the Chongzhen, Yongzheng, Daoguang periods, and the Republic of China.
