The Ancient Tea-Horse Road is divided into the Sichuan-Tibet and Yunnan-Tibet routes, connecting Sichuan, Yunnan, and Tibet, and extending into Bhutan, Sikkim, Nepal, India, and all the way to the Red Sea coast of West Asia and West Africa. The Yunnan-Tibet Ancient Tea-Horse Road was roughly formed in the late 6th century AD.
