Chizhou is really a super treasure of a small city! With unbeatable scenery of southern Anhui, a feast of greenery, a beautiful view at every step, few people and beautiful scenery, although I only went to two attractions this time, it was very worthwhile, as beautiful as a fairyland. 🗺Route: DAY: Guniujiang DAY: Baishiling 🏠Accommodation: If you are not driving yourself, it is recommended to stay in Shitai County, which will make it more convenient to take a taxi or charter a car. If you are driving, it doesn't matter. We stayed in a B&B outside the Guniujiang scenic area this time, and in the morning we saw the beautiful morning mist on the mountains and villagers washing clothes in the stream, which was also a very different experience! ⭐Suzhou➡️Chizhou! A stunningly beautiful and lesser-known travel treasure! Guniujiang: It is a more mature scenic area, where you can buy tickets online or book on-site. The whole scenic area is a loop, going up the mountain and then down, without having to walk back the same way, and the scenery is not repeated. Whether you go left or right after entering the scenic area, the whole loop takes about three to four hours including taking photos and resting, so it is quite tiring. Therefore, it is recommended to go early or in the afternoon. The scenic area has mountains, waterfalls, terraced fields, pools, cliffs, villages, tea gardens and other landscapes. The villages near Guniujiang are also worth a visit, as they are very primitive with many historical remnants, some old slogans, and the omnipresent ancestral hall culture, which can better experience the human history behind it. ⭐Baishiling: Baishiling is definitely the treasure of this trip! Many locals don't even know about this place, an undeveloped ancient village that is now a sketching base for many students. Because the taxi drivers also don't know where the entrance is, they dropped us off 2 kilometers from the scenic area, but these two kilometers were really worth walking! The scenery along the way was already stunning, the road was relatively flat, not tiring, and the scenery was like opening a blind box, with surprises at every turn, the greenery, the stream, and the sudden appearance of small waterfalls were super healing! 🥢Food: On the first night, we went to the night market on Xinxijie, which was mostly barbecue. The food in Chizhou tends to be saltier and stronger, and a bit oilier, but the farmhouse restaurants near the scenic area are still worth a try. The ingredients are either grown by themselves or picked from the mountains, super fresh. ❤️Conclusion: All in all, Chizhou is really a surprising little city, where you feel comfortable just walking around. There are beautiful sceneries, history, culture, different views in rainy and sunny weather, a perfect place to escape work and relax the mind~
