This temple is about 10 kilometers from the Siem Reap city center and in the shape of a three tier pyramid as a Hindu temple. On top of the temple, there was a tower, while on the edge of top platform there are galleries. Phimeanakas is located inside the walled enclosure of the Royal Palace of Angkor Thom north of Baphuon. The Phimeanakas rises at the heart of the larger Palace of the Kings of Angkor, a vast rectangle measuring 581 meters by 242 meters.
