First Stay at Hilton Orchard

#myperfectstaycation A combination of factors led me to visit the flagship Hilton property in Asia Pacific, the not so newly-opened Hilton Orchard Singapore. As a guest with an executive room booking, I ended up checking in at the executive lounge, located at Level 6 of the Mandarin Wing. The lounge was designed to be compartmentalised, which had multiple sections of the lounge like small cozy corners. The same design language can be seen in the room and the lobby as well. Breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canapes were served at the lounge for executive guests and there were all day beverages available for guests for the rest of the day. I ended up in a high-floor King Corner Suite on Mandarin Wing, overlooking the back of Orchard Road, with the OUE Twin Peaks condominium being the most prominent landmark of my view. The room was reasonably big and the toilet and bathroom design were particularly inspired. Both afternoon tea and evening canapes have limited selection, but breakfast was definitely a game-changer. As executive guest I was able to visit both the executive lounge and the Estate restaurant at Level 5 for breakfast. Most of the offerings are overlapping but Estate offers a wider variety of hot food, including a noodle station, whereas the executive lounge makes for a more intimate breakfast experience. It was a reasonably good stay for me and I hope I would have the opportunity to go back soon.
