Collection Club Lounge Parkroyal Marina Bay

Had my first experience in a club lounge at parkroyal marina bay, as my staycations so far come with breakfast at most without club lounge access, as I am a relatively small eater who doesn't drink much. Afternoon tea was decent with a mix of savouries and sweets. While the food appeared simple, the truffle sandwiches and curry puffs were nice in my opinion. The kueh lapis and ondeh swiss roll were okay as well. However, felt that presentation could have been better by putting them in nicer trays or tiered cages instead of just plates, given that there were not many guests on that day. The evening canapés and cocktails did not disappoint however, probably the best meal service of them all. There was a wider selection of savouries and portions were bigger, and the sweets were of better quality in terms of aesthetics and taste. The chicken wings were hot and crispy, while the black sesame swiss roll was unique and not cloyingly sweet. Got a few cocktails to try and liked the balance between alcohol and juices or soft drinks. Breakfast was normal to me; my favourite was the cheese platter as the cheese types don't have overpowering smells or tastes, and it is interesting that they gave fruit cheese. Maybe also because I like cheese. The prata was interesting as it was not the usual flat bread type but the crispy puff version. While I like the flaky and crisp texture, I felt that it was too oily. Else it will have been perfect for me. The yoghurt was unique and not the usual common brands like Meiji. Service staff were efficient and friendly in serving meals and clearing the cutlery, and took time to introduce the food on the table. They also made abit of small talk with us as well. However, sometimes they completely disappear so there was once when I couldn't find them when I needed something. Anyway minor issue for me. One of them even addressed me by my last name which is a bonus. Overall a great experience to relax and chill away on the plush sofas and allow time to pass by. With few people in the lounge especially on a weekday, we had peaceful meal times which was nice 😌
