A day in Gusu, revisiting the old places!

Traveling from Wuxi to Suzhou, this time I chose to stay in the old city area, which is closer to various attractions, making dining, lodging, and transportation very convenient. The small city and small scenes are full of life! The old city area of Suzhou has largely maintained its original appearance, with no high-rise buildings, white walls and black tiles, small bridges over flowing water, and an antique charm! A day in Gusu, in the morning, visit the Lion Grove Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Suzhou Museum together, and in the afternoon, go to Tiger Hill, Maple Bridge/Cold Mountain Temple, and Lingering Garden for a tour. The Lion Grove Garden is one of the four famous gardens in Suzhou, and the most famous feature is the lake rockery, where the rocks resemble lions, forming a 'forest of lions'! The Humble Administrator's Garden is ranked first among the four famous gardens in China and is a model of classical gardens in the south of the Yangtze River. It is famous for its long history, natural style, and elegant scenery. The Suzhou Museum was originally established in 1960 at the site of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom's Loyalty King's Mansion. In 2006, the Suzhou Museum designed by I.M. Pei was completed. The new museum combines traditional Suzhou architectural style with modern minimalist architectural features, looking both classical and elegant as well as fresh and beautiful! 'The foremost scenic spot in the land south of the Yangtze River,' they say, is Tiger Hill. The most famous attractions of Tiger Hill are the Tiger Hill Pagoda and the Sword Pool. The Tiger Hill Pagoda is the world's second most leaning tower and has a history of over a thousand years. This seven-story, eight-sided tower is 47.7 meters tall and leans towards the northeast. The top of the tower is 2.34 meters off-center, with a maximum inclination of 3 degrees and 59 minutes, and the Tiger Hill Pagoda is also known as 'China's Leaning Tower of Pisa.' From above, the Sword Pool resembles a flat-lying sword and is the most mysterious place in Tiger Hill, with many legends surrounding it. 'Moon sets, crows cry, frost fills the sky; Maple trees and fishermen's lights face my sleepless sorrow. Outside Gusu city, Cold Mountain Temple, midnight bell reaches the passenger boat.' This timeless quatrain has made the famous Cold Mountain Temple in Gusu. Once one of China's ten famous temples, the temple has many ancient relics, including the stone inscription of Zhang Ji's poem 'Mooring by Maple Bridge at Night,' stone carvings of Hanshan and Shide, fragments of inscriptions written by Wen Zhengming and Tang Yin, and outside the temple, the ancient Maple Bridge. The Lingering Garden is one of the four famous gardens in China, a large classical private garden representing the Qing Dynasty style. The garden is known for its architectural art, with spacious and magnificent halls, courtyards full of changes, and an irregular layout that integrates garden buildings with mountains, water, and rocks to create a natural charm, truly unique!
