Tianjin Porcelain House

The Porcelain House is located at No. 72 Chifeng Road, Heping District, Tianjin (near Heping Road Commercial Street), and is a French-style mansion built with ancient porcelain. The Porcelain House has a total of 4 floors, and the entire house from the inside out, except for the ground paved with marble, all visible places are inlaid with porcelain pieces, even the walls are made of porcelain mosaic paintings. The entire building of the Porcelain House used more than 700 million pieces of ancient porcelain, more than 13,000 ancient porcelain bottles, plates, and bowls, more than 300 stone carvings from various dynasties, more than 300 Han white jade stone lions, more than 300 porcelain cat pillows from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and more than 20 tons of crystal agate, etc. It is known as a priceless 'Chinese Ancient Porcelain Museum'. In September 2010, the Porcelain House was selected as one of the fifteen most uniquely designed museums in the world by the Huffington Post in the United States.
