Dong'ao Island is located in the southeast of Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, China, 30 kilometers away from Xiangzhou and in the middle of the Wanshan Islands. The area is about 4.663 square kilometers. Due to the fact that Dong'ao Bay on the east side of the island is about 1500 meters into the middle, it forms a large concave part, hence the name Dong'ao Island.
