Beautiful Parliament Building

The Hungarian Parliament Building is located at 1-3 Kossuth ter, 1055 Budapest, and is open daily, Monday to Friday 0800-1800, Saturday and Sunday from 0800-1600. It is around 180 meters 2 minutes walk from Kossuth Lajos ter metro station (Line M2). The Parliament Building is on the eastern bank of the Danube, and is a popular tourist destination in Budapest. Building this impressive edifice took 17 years from 1885 to 1902. The building has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 as part of the Banks of Danube. It is 268 meters long, 123 meters wide and with a height of 96 meters. The main facade overlooks the Danube river (nice photoshoot from the opposite bank), but the official entrance is from the Kossuth square. The guided tour of the Parliament Building enables you to discover its beautiful interior and the explanation by the well trained staff. Had a tour inside Parliament of Budapest Hungary. It is a notable landmark of Hungary and located on Kossuth Square in the Pest side of the city. The building is built on the Gothic Revival style. The parliament is also symmetrical from inside with two identical parliament halls on the opposing sides of building. There are many sculptures on the walls. The facade displays statues of various Hungarian rulers. There is hexadecagonal 16 sided central hall with huge chambers adjoining it, the Lower and Upoer House. Overall, it is a good tour to understand some Hungarian history.

This stunning and magnificent building is situated on the banks of the River Danube. It is probably the most iconic and beautiful building structure in Budapest, Hungary. We only viewed the exterior due to our limited time before boarding our river cruise. The design is based partly on the Houses of Parliament in London and its construction was undertaken in the early 19th century. Imposing building which is a ‘must-see' place when we are in this vibrant and historic city. This lovely building particularly stunning at night when lit up. I love all three pictures so much~~ In every city I visit, a citywalk to find a vantage point overlooking the city skyline is a must-do, like the Sacré-Cœur in Paris or Park Güell in Spain, there's a beauty in standing from afar on a hill and gazing at the city's hustle and bustle. It's no surprise that in Budapest as well, from the high ground across the river from the Parliament building, the view includes not just the city skyline but also the wide and beautiful Danube River. Watching the sunset here might just be the perfect spot. Many tourists sit on the stone railings with drinks and beer, enjoying the breeze, and the comfort of Eastern Europe seems to spill out of the picture.

#thingstodo Beautiful on the outside and inside. I would highly recommend getting tickets weeks in advance. I tried getting tickets one week in advance and they were sold out but I was fortunate enough to book a tour that included the parliament tour. There are a bit of stairs but if you can’t walk up the several flights you can request to use the elevator. You can take pictures except when you enter the room to see the crown. You do need to retain your ticket for your entire tour as you need it it exit the tour. Visiting the Budapest Parliament was an unforgettable experience! The building itself is a masterpiece of Gothic Revival architecture, standing proudly on the banks of the Danube. From the moment I saw its stunning facade, I knew I was in for something special. An architectural masterpiece, the Hungarian Parliament Building is one of the must see icons in Budapest. Its grandeur and beauty are truly awe-inspiring. The intricate details and stunning design make it a must-visit landmark in Budapest. My family didn't have a tour inside due to scheduling issues but we were just as impressed from the outside. This beauty will awe you from any point. We absolutely loved it and there are so many benches to sit on and admire the view. We also highly recommend taking a riverside walk to fully appreciate this spectacular landmark. The nighttime view is absolutely stunning, especially when experienced from the opposite river bank.

🇭🇺Budapest's Liszt Airport✈️ is also divided into T1 & T2 like domestic ones (as far as I know, there is only one airport in Budapest), so you need to check the terminal when you come out. You can exchange some local currency (Forint, 1 Euro = 300 Forint) at Budapest Airport before leaving. After coming out, you can take the bus that uses ticket stubs🧾 to leave the airport and go to the city. The ticket is very small, and the ticket inspector checks the ticket outside the bus (you can also take this bus to return to the airport🚌) The transportation in Budapest is quite convenient. The subway tickets are divided into these types: One, 24h/48h tickets; Two, times tickets, you can buy ten at a time. Both can be purchased in Forint on the machine. 1⃣️The first stop we went to was St. Stephen's Cathedral⛪️. 🎫Purchase on the opposite side, there is a sign at the door, you can buy student tickets. It is recommended to buy a full ticket, you can overlook the entire Budapest scenery from the top (P4 & P8) 2⃣️The second stop was the Fisherman's Bastion, which is very photogenic!! Everyone can bring clothes and photographers in advance to take pictures📸 It is opposite the Parliament Building, you can go in the evening, the sunset on the Parliament Building and the Fisherman's Bastion is very beautiful~ The outside of the Fisherman's Bastion is free to visit, but if you want to take pictures from the best position, you need to buy a ticket. 3⃣️Next to the Fisherman's Bastion is the Matthias Church⛪️, you can pay to go in and take a look, and student tickets are also available for purchase~ 4⃣️Then behind these two attractions is a check-in cafe 5⃣️Buda Palace is also very close to these attractions, a 15-minute walk can get there. Breathtaking building

Guided your review. Book online ahead of time as slots go quickly. I had an English tour, although Hungarian and Spanish are available. The tour lasts 45 minutes. Highlights include the Grand staircase, the debate room and the holy crown. The guard shows you around and the audio guide gives you tons of information. No photos permitted of the crown. We were lucky to see a changing of the guard performance too. You finish in a small museum. No lockers/cloakroom available. Time slots are fixed. There is no bathroom during the tour. Security is very high. Tickets were 5000HUF. Overall a very enjoyable tour indeed. #timetotravel #architecture #europe
