#Narita International Airport Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
🇯🇵 Narita airport paid facilities
There are paid lounges and paid shower for all the transit and departing passengers at Narita Airport terminal. This is very important for passengers especially when the flight time is long and need a place to rest properly. Most of the airport facilities here are available to all paying passengers so as long you are willing to pay then you can use it. I did not see business lounge here but there are also plenty of cafe and areas for use if you need to work. The wifi is free and efficient and streaming of movies is ok too.

🇯🇵 Keisei Line Train to Airport
An efficient train line from both Narita and Haneda airport which go into Tokyo. It will take slightly more than an hour using this Keisei Main line. It connects directly to another subway line without the need to get off the train too. This is also a cheaper alternative and efficient if your hotel is along this train line. IT is also better if you can plan your timing and sync with the hotel check in and check out timing. Sometimes when the train get too crowded, it will be difficult to board with your luggage. In this case, you can use the luggage forward system and send it to your hotel then you can explore the city before you check in.

🇯🇵 Rest & Relax at Narita airport
Within the transit area in Narita airport, you can find plenty of space and resting areas. There is no need to spend money at a transit hotel. There are plenty of lounge chairs within the transit area for long layover. There are also water coolers and many vending machines too. If you are hungry, you also can get hot food from the eateries during their operational hours. You can even get a massage with the best views here along the airport runway. The views are better in the day compared to a night. During night time, the windows will have more reflections from the outside.

🇯🇵 Zip Air to Tokyo
Konnichiwa Japan lovers and Sugoi! Now you can have Zip air to zip you into Tokyo Narita airport at berry affordable prices.
My round trip from Singapore to Tokyo Narita was about $400+ with 23kg and 32kg check in luggage included respectively. I also paid extra to choose my seats and pre-ordered a meal too. The seats are spacious, and you will not even feel squash ever again. Did I also mention the on-board wifi is free? Yes, it is free, and you can just follow the wifi instruction and get connected.
Being a Japanese airline, they can be quite strict on the hand carry luggage so please do not exceed 7kg because the staff might check on the weight. If you need extra hand carry weight, then you can pre-purchase it.
As for the check in luggage, Zip air goes by piece concept even if you are flying within Asia. This means that if you have 32kg check in luggage allowance, you can only check in 1 piece of luggage weighing 32kg maximum.

Narita Layover
Had six hours layover in Narita. A Mario themed welcoming greeted me as I entered the airport. I wondered around the airport since I had some time on my hands.
I went to the shopping and dining area in terminal 1, which you can access before checking in. They have a few places to choose from on the 4th and 5th floor. On the 4th floor you also have gift shops, shoe and clothing, pharmacy and traveling needs. On the 5th floor you will the sky observatory, a food court and a Lawson. The sky observatory allows you to go outside and look at the planes and watch them take off. The also have a variety of vending machines: toys, ice cream, drinks, and coffee. There is a barbershop on the 5th floor too.
Once you check through, you have your usual duty free stores and restaurants to choose from. I saw two travel lounges and they have shower rooms if you want to freshen up for a cost.

It is located in the food court before entering Narita Airport Terminal 3. We are catching our flight to Sapporo, but we just ordered takoyaki for a quick snack.
The takoyaki is awesome, it's cooked perfectly and full of flavor.
The pleasure of coming to Narita has increased one more.
Highly recommendation!
We wish to go Japan again in year 2023.

Japan's transportation money-saving strategy
Japan travel, transportation expenditure is definitely a cost that can not be ignored, take the trip during the National Day of our three cities, the original per capita transportation costs will be 3,000 yuan. However, using some tips, you can save a lot of money. In the end, you only spend more than a thousand
1. Preparing jrpass tickets in advance
jr pass specially prepared for foreign tourists is definitely a saving tool, such as The "5-day East Japan Nagano & Niigata Regional Railroad Tour" that we used this time only used four of them, and the total train fare was 38,000 yen (about 2,500 RMB). JR Pass, in Japan, only 18,330 yen (about 1,200 RMB), I booked in advance on Klook, plus the discount code (HELEN001), but only a thousand dollars. Two people just saved more than 3,000 tickets, and it is enough to buy a round-trip ticket to Japan!
2 Make good use of local transportation
There are several different ranges of one to two days of public transportation, ranging from one thousand to three thousand yen. You can purchase according to your own itinerary. Very valuable to return the fare.
Karuizawa has fewer bus lines, and some attractions are too far away, so renting a bicycle is the best way to play. Generally, hotels are available, but the price is still cheaper outside the franchise store. The most common model is more than 1,000 yen/day, with electric power or 2600 yen for two people.
The size of Niigata City is not large. In fact, the famous scenic spots are not too far away, but after all, the unlimited sightseeing bus ride is 500 yen (more than 30 RMB).

Cathay Pacific Lounge at Tokyo Narita Airport
The Cathay Pacific lounge at Tokyo Narita Airport has been refurbished and relocated. Previously, it was necessary to go up to the 4th floor from the north security checkpoint, but now it has moved to a new location. After passing through security, simply walk straight ahead, and on the left side of the cosmetics store, take the elevator down one level to arrive.
The lounge has an impressive facade, and the interior space is spacious and comfortable. The leisure and work areas are clearly divided, so as not to affect other passengers.
The lounge offers a limited selection of cooked food, bread, and desserts, but there is a sufficient supply of hot drinks and alcoholic beverages.

Quick airport fix before you catch the plane
Address: Kaitenzushi Misaki, Japan, 〒282-0011 Chiba, Narita, Sanrizuka, 1−1 中央ビル 5F Terminal 1, Narita International Airport
Price: 💰💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Perched on the 5th floor of Narita International Airport, Kaitenzushi Misaki beckons travelers with its tantalizing sushi offerings. Intrigued by the bustling queues, I embarked on a culinary adventure before my flight.
Efficiency reigns supreme as patrons jot their names on the waiting list, swiftly ushered in within minutes. A transparent pricing system and English menu streamline the ordering process, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
What sets this establishment apart is its diverse array of sushi, catering to both raw aficionados and cooked seafood enthusiasts. Opting for wasabi on the side enhances customization, while complimentary green tea acts as a refreshing palate cleanser.
Delving into my selections, I savored each bite:
1. Flamed-seared Red Shrimp with Salt & Lemon - 10/10. Crunchy, generously sized, and impeccably seasoned, this dish stole the show.
2. Flamed-seared sushi trio - 8/10. Fresh and delectable, albeit lacking in textural contrast.
3. Flamed-seared salmon with mayo & cheese - 9/10. Succulent and flavorful, with potential for a tad more sear.
4. Flamed-seared shrimp with mayo & cheese - 9/10. Mirroring the salmon's excellence, with room for a touch more searing.
5. Tamago - 5/10. Soft and airy, yet slightly lacking in flavor depth.
With a bill totaling a mere $25, Kaitenzushi Misaki delivers exceptional value within an international airport setting. It's a commendable spot for a quick and satisfying pre-flight meal, ensuring culinary satisfaction without breaking the bank.
Bonus: if you collect eki stamps, there's one right outside the shop (near the observation deck).

I tried to explain one goes up top backpack goes under the seat. My weight was over by 1.3 kg. Do not use this airline. Oh and was the most expensive ticket I’ve paid to travel lol

I had a nice experience using this airport for my trip. A couple things that stood out to me. Good seats for travelers to wait their boarding time, vending machines to grab quick snacks, quiet ambience and a lot of windows for natural light. Highly recommend

Tokyo international airport is modern and brand new
Tokyo international airport is wonderful that many amenities were offered. Services unfortunately have declined much since the vivid era. Foods are priced much more expensive but most of the products are still priced reasonably, and most importantly the view was dimmed since we went there since the weather was rainy and windy. Hopefully the next time. The advertisement sign uploaded is taken at the Tokyo airport #narita

I.A.S.S Superior Lounge - NOA - Tokyo Narita International, Terminal 1. It is located at the airside- International Departures, 3rd Floor, next to Gate 26. Maximum you can only stay for 2 hours. Children under 5 are free admission. There is complimentary luggage storage available inside the lounge. The lounge is quite small, there is no toilets or showers inside. So if you are planning to take a shower, you can't do so. The food is also quite limited. Only some snacks and bites are available. Fa So La Store

Fa So La is the Narita Airport largest duty free shop. This store looks small but it sells almost everything.
For travelers, you can get duty free price for the items from there as long you provide them with the boarding pass. You can get pharmaceutical or travel accessories or beauty products at this store. If you suddenly feeling unwell, they carry pain killers and stomach medicines too.
They accept cash or credit cards. You also can do pre order online in advance.
Different outlet has different opening hours. Do check out online before heading over to avoid disappointment.

Narita Airport Terminal One have both domestic and international flights. It is split into South Wing and North Wing. So make sure you check your flight and make your way to the correct way.
There are many restaurants and different types of cuisine to choose from and shops to do your shopping too.
It is easy to reach there by Narita Express which is a limited express train, provided by JR East or by limousine bus. Be there early to have enough time to eat and shop and most important is to do check in!

I choose you NRT airport
My daughter and I + Grandma had a stop in #tokyo NRT airport with 4 hours before heading to #china ‘s Shenzhen.
With a 4 hour timeframe I was left with only 30 mins before boarding time. (Although I rushed, ran to and from)
It is hectic for anyone to have to go through customs/luggage and having to re enter the airport security.
*I had 6 checked bags, 2 carry-on *
Even after looking at the NRT airport map and figuring my route beforehand, when it actually came to doing it. I was a headless chicken. Haha.
I would’ve helped so much had Trip made easier flights.
My tickets were
1. LAX to NRT. (One ticket)
2. NRT to SZN (One ticket)
I had no choice but to order 2 tickets due to the multiple stops and the extended layover times.
I got through it. I high recommend picking NRT for a layover stop or a connecting stop.
1. Super clean
2. People are helpful
3. Free terminal buses
4. Cheap.
5. Great decals.
6. Restaurants/shops while waiting.
My best advice is to find out where your connecting flight/ next flight ticket counter is located beforehand and go there first.
Ask any worker, they are very helpful.
