Beer Museum
During our trip to Sapporo, I wanted to visit the beer museum to learn about the origins of Japanese beer. There is a free self-guided tour that was very well done. I was surprised to learn that the Japanese first learned how to brew beer from the Germans and later further developed their techniques through collaboration with Germans and Americans. I was also surprised to learn that Sapporo and Asahi were once part of the same company. There are also cafes and restaurants here, and with reservations, you can get a guided tour and beer tastings.

Painted onto the brick Icon of this unassuming red brick building is a big branded beer - Sapporo Star. Although we are not drinkers, this brand we could not miss in our own country. A very short factory tour was arranged. We traverse through Cello's where beer were previously brewed, fermented & kept before we sits down to enjoy the locally brewed beer. As the place was packed, it was stuffy & we soak in the novelty of having visited a beer making factory.

Sapporo Beer Museum
This is the oldest beer museum in Japan, displaying the history of the introduction of beer to Japan in the early Meiji period and the improvements and hard work that have been made to date. The building itself is a brick structure built in the Meiji era, and is designated as a Hokkaido Heritage Site. We bought beer here and drank in our hotel room.
I want to try Sapporo Beer again 🍻

Yummy Genghis Khan BBQ
Visit the Sapporo Beer Musuem for a feast of lamb, pork and chicken BBQ buffet and pair it with a side of local Sapporo beer! The price is reasonable for the quality of the meats which is really tender, and not too oily. :)
Plus point - they provide you with an apron, and a huge plastic bag to store your stuff to prevent it from the smell as the scent and fumes of the BBQ is everywhere in the place. It’s lovely!
Sapporo has the most famous beer in Japan. They also have a branch in Sakae, Nagoya that is why I know of them. But, when we went to Sapporo, we made sure that we visit Sapporo Beer Garden, sometimes called Sapporo Bier Garten. Who wouldn't want to taste a beer fresh from their main branch, right?

Sapporo Beer Museum is the best place for beer lovers. Its several minutes walk from from Sapporo station. They offer beer for discounted prices. Great place to learn the history of beer in Hokkaido. #wintergetaway

In the evening, we came to the beer museum in Sapporo. This place is relatively general, if you have been to the domestic Qingdao Beer Museum, you can ignore it. The scale and history are much smaller and similar.
At the entrance to the beer garden, there is a sign like Sapporo Beer: a red five-pointed star and two black bears, surrounded by German BIER GARTEN, which is often seen in beer gardens. Because it is also German style, there are many similarities with Qingdao.
Of course, from July 21st to August 10th every year, the "Beer Garden Festival" will be held in Otaru Park in Sapporo. During this period, it is still worthwhile for beer lovers to experience. At that time, Sapporo will be filled with a happy atmosphere.
From the museum, it is the golden time to take pictures. The blue color of the sky is really great. After returning to the country, it was discovered that the official publicity photo of the museum was also taken at this time.
On the way from Hokkaido University's Sapporo campus to the Beer Museum, there are some people who can't be loved.~
Seeing the chimney far away, feeling close, floating beer, barbecue ~~~ but reality Tell you, beer is open, barbecue, please find another ~
beer advertisements and posters of various ages, actually a bit embarrassing, want to come to the sequela of the white lover chocolate factory dessert meal, hungry ~
if Its not a Japanese word that I dont understand on the poster. I think its like the poster that I saw in the old streets of Tunxi and the old cat who was basking in the sun before the sunset~
Tips: I also want to come. The food watchers noticed that when you enter the beer museum, you will see a reception desk where you can reserve a dinner at the three barbecue halls such as Genghis Khan barbecue in advance. You can save a lot of queue time. Remember to make an appointment when you enter the door. Make an appointment when you enter the door~
