GGuest UserI've stayed at three hotels around Wangfujing, and the Sofitel had the most extensive breakfast. Room facilities were pretty similar across the board; the Chaidamu and City Express might be newer, but it didn't affect the stay. The hotel lobby is quite grand, and it's also very close to the safari park.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious and well-designed, spotlessly clean, and completely odor-free. The bed was so soft and comfortable, I slept like a baby. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and there was plenty of hot water, with all the essential amenities provided. The hotel staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and friendly. The location is super convenient for transportation, yet the surroundings are peaceful and quiet. It’s definitely an excellent choice for a trip.
The hygiene was top-notch; there wasn't a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and the room was well-ventilated with a comfortable temperature. The soundproofing was fantastic, making for a truly quiet night's rest. The facilities were excellent, with soft, pleasant lighting. The staff were responsive and friendly. This hotel offers much better value for money than others in its price range, and I would genuinely recommend it and definitely return.

GGuest UserThis hotel is of exceptional quality with a fantastic location. It is very close to the scenic spots and the train station. Taking a taxi anywhere is inexpensive, and there are shopping malls and restaurants within walking distance. The overall environment of the hotel is extremely clean, and the staff are very welcoming and attentive. Any minor issues were resolved immediately.
The room is spacious, very clean, and bright, and the provided toiletries are of high quality, unlike the cheap ones found in other hotels.
The room features central air conditioning, allowing you to adjust the temperature for cooling or heating as you like, which is very comfortable. Most hotels in Xining don't have air conditioning. Having the AC running at night and while taking a shower was wonderful, and since the hotel runs its AC year-round, the stay was very comfortable.
I will definitely recommend this place to friends visiting Xining, and I will stay here again next time I visit.

MMy Travel FormulaThe hotel is clean, location is great to the nearby supermarket, shopping malls and the wildlife park. Many restaurants around. It would be great if there's dryer attached with washing machine. Breakfast is great, blended with both western and Chinese selections. I came back to stay with Sebel after my previous stay because of the friendly and informative stuffs who have helped me with the luggages and check in. However, why I rated the service with lower point because after I came back to stay for 2 consecutive nights, we have encountered different stuffs that gave totally opposite vibes, which were arrogant and no greetings, no smile.

The bed in the room was super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The soundproofing was excellent; I wasn't disturbed by any noise. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort! The price is very reasonable, yet the quality is uncompromised. Both the environment and service exceeded my expectations. It's fantastic value for money, and the hotel's central location makes transportation incredibly convenient. The subway and bus stations are right outside, making it easy to get anywhere. The hotel's design style is distinctive, with every detail showcasing taste and artistry. It left a stunning impression the moment I walked in! They even gave me a 'peace apple' upon check-in, which was a thoughtful gesture. Shortly after checking in, they called to inquire about my stay and any needs I might have. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time.

The hotel itself is well-equipped, featuring central air conditioning, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, offering many local specialties. Plus, there's ample parking and a great view... Overall, it's a hidden gem of a hotel. I highly recommend it, especially for travelers looking to experience local culture in the old city while still wanting a high-quality hotel close by.

GGuest UserThe staff were all wonderful and proactively upgraded our room. The room was large, spacious, and had a great view. The design was very thoughtful, with plenty of storage. There was a minor issue with one of the lights in the room, but it was addressed and resolved very promptly. Deliveries were also very quick. We had a very comfortable three-day stay and will definitely return the next time we're in Xining. Thank you all!

ZZhuyuanyulu556655I checked and found out that this Mandarin Oriental opened in 2016. It's a landmark high-rise in the Lake-View New Area and has been better maintained than expected. The lobby features some ******* design elements, with recognizable Thangka murals and chandeliers that break away from the cookie-cutter business style. The high-altitude views really create a great atmosphere. Although it faces the street, it was very quiet at night. The mattress had a good level of firmness, hot water for the shower came out quickly, and a humidifier was provided, which is quite practical in a dry place like Xining.
Breakfast included some local specialties and is worth a try.
