"Pretty hotel in pretty old ancient buildings. Lots of high curbs in the hotel. The staffs were very helpful with our luggage. Every corner of the hotel looks pretty and photogenic. The welcome tea is nice! The hotel lobby with wooden high ceiling is so impressive and pretty. The tea rooms that we can choose to have our breakfast are pretty and aircon cooling too.
The hotel room looks so much better than the pictures in their booking site. High ceiling, warm note and comes with a comfortable soothing wooden smell.
The bathroom comes with ancient look door with wooden planks and in btw can be look through, but overall looks new and clean. Amazed by the bidet toilet in the ancient wooden setting. Its a good mix of modern and ancient in the most appropriate way. We almost didn't feel like leaving the hotel. Bathtub outside looks so pretty as well, especially on rainy days and early mornings, but we were worried about the mosquitos.
The hotel is 1 minute away from the main shopping/touristy street, and you can get all the teas and gifts from there.
Note that the hotel is located far from the main road. Nearest road side for dropoff and boarding is at the Starbucks, which sometimes seems far when you are tired and seems near when you leave the hotel for the day. About 8 mins walk away i think. There are little shops along the way as well. And the street looks super cool at night with all the lanterns along the way. As mentioned earlier, the hotel staffs gladly helped you with your luggage to the boarding point.

Other key Xiamen attractions including scenic Huandao Road and Southern Putuo Temple are also close at hand. Xiamen Railway Station is 7 km (4.3 mi) away and Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport is just a 20-minute drive. The wide range of rooms and suites here feature unique decoration styles and beds boast memory foam mattresses. Boutique rooms make up for their lack of a window with murals painted by local artists but other room types offer panoramic windows with sea or city views and open bathtubs. To really splash out, go for the Tegoo Suite, an 85 sq m (915 sq ft) suite which gets the morning sun, offers panoramic views and has a 100" screen and projector for those cozy nights in. "This is an older hotel, but the rooms are spacious with high ceilings. The service is warm and thoughtful; they even proactively offered a drying rack for clothes. The lunch and dinner offer great value for money, even better than breakfast. I suggest making the breakfast menu more diverse with new dishes and more rotation. The only drawback is that the facilities could use an update. I've noted a few issues:
1. The curtains are installed inside the window frame, which prevents them from fully covering the glass, letting light in during the morning. This was a poor experience. Perhaps replacing the curtains is too expensive, but offering some blackout strips for guests who need them would be helpful.
2. The toilet seat no longer has a soft-close feature, so it makes a loud noise when it falls. I recommend replacing it or adding bumper strips.
3. The hairdryer is an old model, not the modern high-speed, low-noise type. I also suggest regularly cleaning the filter on the back of the hairdryer, as it was completely clogged with fibers.
4. The bathroom has an exhaust fan, but it wasn't working. When I asked the front desk, they said the room had fresh air. However, the fresh air system and bathroom exhaust fan are two different systems. The fresh air system supplies air and cannot replace the bathroom exhaust fan. I recommend repairing and enabling the bathroom exhaust fan."

"The hotel is particularly good, very satisfied with a stay, 5 minutes walk from the door is the Yefengzhai Beach, in the middle of the beach and Huangpi Beach, walk to Huangpi Beach, that is, 20 minutes, less than 15 minutes by bicycle. The sweet girl and handsome guy at the front desk of the hotel and the service staff are very good and very kind. Well, I added ** to send us a guide when I checked in and gave us cute small gifts and souvenirs. Every time I encounter any problems, I need their help to send a ** call. It was dealt with quickly. "Extremely satisfied with my stay! The hotel is located right by Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, just a one-minute walk away. From the room's balcony, you can even see the pedestrian street. The room was clean and tidy, the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, the air conditioning worked great, and there was a hairdryer. All the towels felt brand new. It's incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and sightseeing in the area."

They thought of everything: iodine cotton swabs, band-aids, hair ties, clips, essential oils, insect repellent, snacks, tea bags, and even various emergency medicines. The attention to detail in their service was truly touching. Plus, there's a free massage chair, which was a very thoughtful touch. The food at their own restaurant was delicious and great value for money. And their two cats, Zhaocai and Jinbao, are super cute! This was an unforgettable experience. I'll definitely choose Dafangju again on my next visit and recommend it to my friends. Wishing the owners great success and prosperity!

Our vacation ended, but we managed to travel during the off-peak season with our child. My little one absolutely loved it! The hotel is very kid-friendly. There's a dedicated children's heated splash pool that's shallow and even has a small slide. Right next to it, there's a jungle play net, and my child had so much fun they didn't want to leave. Our room was spacious and clean, and the balcony even had a large soaking tub. We'll definitely be back if we have the chance!

A special thanks goes to Manager Zeng at the front desk, who assigned a room that perfectly suited my preferences, making my stay smooth and comfortable. The hotel's location is also fantastic – right next to a subway entrance and bus stops, with everything you could need nearby. It's also very close to Dongdu Wharf and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, which was incredibly convenient.

Traveling to Wuyishan during the off-season was wonderful; the autumn scenery was absolutely stunning with everything golden-hued. I specifically chose a guesthouse to better appreciate Wuyishan's natural beauty. Shuizhuang No. 8 Guesthouse is truly nestled within a park, offering distant mountain views and a close-up look at the river while you sip tea and admire the ginkgo trees right outside your door. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but the surroundings are also quiet and comfortable. It's conveniently located with great transport links, and both the dining and accommodation are excellent. The service is warm and courteous, and the staff are very prompt in providing assistance. I'd highly recommend staying here over a hotel!

Guest UserI stayed at this hotel in Xiamen back in 2017, when it had just opened, and I was really impressed with both the room facilities and the service. For this family trip, I specifically chose to come back here. The location is super convenient, right next to Powerlong One Mall, and most importantly, I honestly couldn't find another place with better value for money for this two-bedroom type (in my opinion)! However, I have to admit the rooms are definitely showing their age. And for some reason, this room type had a strong smell. We switched to another room which was a bit better, but there was still a musty odor. The staff's service attitude was impeccable, though. I guess it's all about the value for money here.

Anonymous UserWe received a warm welcome from the staff. Check in was straightforward and prompt. The lobby area was spacious and pleasantly furnished. The staff gave us a room upgrade and we had a spacious and well appointed room that made us feel very at home. When we arrived, it was close to lunch time and the staff checked in on us on meal requests, we took the lunch and it was a good spread of local specialties. Breakfast was freshly made and gave us a good impression of how a well prepared local breakfast would be like, also the meal was well balanced with dairy, vegetables etc. The room package also included a afternoon tea in the garden with a water feature, a tea bath and a evening Chinese tea appreciation session where we chatted with the staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Staying at Wyndham Xiamen Yuuzhou this time was a really great experience overall! 🥰 The hotel is super family-friendly, especially for those traveling with kids. The kids' play area was much more fun than I expected; my little one basically refused to leave once inside 😂. With plenty of facilities, parents can finally catch a bit of a break. I also loved the hotel pool – the setting was really pleasant, and the water looked quite clean. Spending an entire afternoon there with the kids was no problem at all. Having a place like this to cool off in summer is a huge plus for Xiamen 🏊🏻♀️
The breakfast also deserves a shout-out! There was a wide selection of both Western and Chinese options, including some local Xiamen flavors. The food wasn't just made for variety; everything tasted genuinely good. Starting the day with a satisfying meal before heading out to explore was perfect 😋
During my stay, our butler, Evelyn, also left a wonderful impression. She was always promptly available to help whenever we needed anything, and communication with her was very comfortable – none of that overly formal service. Plus, they offer free photo printing, which I absolutely adored! ❤️ The hotel also provides a free shuttle bus, which is incredibly convenient when traveling with children. Minimizing hassle is truly the greatest happiness!
Overall, I feel that Wyndham Xiamen Yuuzhou is a hotel perfectly suited for families. You eat well, have fun, and stay comfortably. Even though Xiamen can be hot, playing around the hotel never felt boring 🌴. I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Xiamen. The overall experience was really great!
