Guest UserI came here specifically to visit Mao Zedong's former residence with my child. The Donghu Hotel, located within the East Lake Scenic Area, is a self-contained property. Upon arrival, staff inquire about your purpose before allowing vehicle entry, and there's a private road leading in. There's also a parking lot right at the hotel entrance, which made me feel quite secure. The service was attentive; after checking into the Nanshan B-Section Standard Room with a view that I booked, I received a complimentary fruit platter. The room itself was well-equipped with all necessary amenities.
The hotel buildings each have their own unique charm, and the lush greenery makes it feel like a forest – a natural oxygen bar. From my room's balcony, I had a view of the greenway and the shimmering lake. It was raining moderately when we arrived, and I'd never seen the lake so turbulent, with waves crashing one after another.
There's a dedicated shuttle bus that takes guests to the side entrance of the Hubei Provincial Museum, which is incredibly convenient as it's just a stone's throw away. After exploring the museum, I simply called the front desk, and they sent the shuttle to pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. My only regret is that due to the rain, I couldn't take a walk on the greenway to enjoy the scenery; I only managed a brief glimpse. I'll definitely come back with my child next time to experience the unique landscape again.

ZeijiushidalianrenThe hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable. It's situated right on Yanjiang Avenue, directly across from a huge riverside park. You can step downstairs and immediately enjoy views of the Yangtze River, cherry blossoms, and the night cruise boats – no need to go anywhere else. Right next to the hotel are the Soong Ching Ling Former Residence and the Wuhan Municipal Government building. Behind it is the Wuhan Women's Federation, and the famous Bagong House is a short walk away. It's quite luxurious and grand.
The hotel's swimming pool and amenities are all excellent and fully equipped.
However, I generally wouldn't recommend the hotel breakfast. There isn't much to choose from; it's probably the worst breakfast I've had at a five-star hotel.
If you have the option, definitely stay in an executive suite. You can enjoy river views right from your bed, and the toiletries are all brand-name products.
For food delivery, you'll need to go downstairs to pick it up yourself. The hotel can deliver it to your room, but it's slow.

WangzheVIPCame to Wuhan for a three-day trip with my family during the May Day holiday. After a long search, I chose this hotel, which is conveniently located right at Simenkou Metro Station, Huanghelou stop. As soon as you exit the subway, you can turn around and see the Yellow Crane Tower. The hotel is just over 100 meters to the left when you exit the community. The location is excellent. Just over 100 meters to the west of the hotel is Hubu Alley snack street, and to the east is Liangdao Street, where you can easily find all sorts of snacks and breakfast options. The hotel's breakfast was a bit average, not a very rich selection, so you might consider booking without breakfast and trying some local snacks nearby. However, there's a nice photo spot on the top floor. Overall, it's good, and the location is fantastic. The staff are also very friendly, and there's even a dedicated concierge. Overall, highly recommended.

The room was pretty good. I stayed with my family for a few days. The hotel is right on the street, so it's super easy to catch a taxi. Just cross the road and you're at Yanjiang Avenue. The weather was lovely these past few days, perfect for a walk and watching the sunset. If you need anything during your stay, you can just ask the hotel staff. All in all, it was a good stay.

Rooms:
This hotel is old, after all. I stayed here 19 years ago and had an excellent impression. I didn't expect to be so disappointed this time compared to back then.
The glass top of the coffee table next to the sofa in the room was just resting on it and was very unstable. My son leaned on it lightly and almost cut his hand. Thumbs down.
I don't know if it was the bedding or the room, but there was a musty smell. This is what I absolutely cannot stand. I guess it's probably similar throughout their rooms. I ended up using my own disposable pillowcases.
However, the soundproofing was good, and it was far from the elevator, so I slept quite well.
Service:
Definitely not good, and certainly no feeling of being 'home away from home,' just cold and indifferent. The business traveler next door got an upgrade, but I didn't, even though I mentioned it to the butler who contacted me in advance. I can understand, though; an individual guest probably can't compete with business accounts.
Pool:
It was better than I remembered, but... the pool doesn't provide water or towels. You have to buy them yourself. I was speechless. Isn't this your hotel? But then again, the hotel's prices are indeed low, so I'll just put it down to being cheap.
Parking: There are charging stations, which is a plus.
What left the deepest impression... the matcha toast at the lobby bar. I really liked it, it was delicious.

First of all, Wangwang (0006) in the front desk was very nice, patient and helpful to me all the time. She provided me ice amd dvdn thought she wasn't on duty the next day, she still managed to check on me. The Resort has such amazing facilities, unfortunately some areas look unattended and some pools are closed. I stayed in a cabana looking the lake, it was very cozy and comfortable, but the swimming pool closeby was closed so I needed to walk about 10-15 mins to go to another swimming pool. Surprisingly, the one that was open was in the area were they are reshaping some rooms, so it was noisy with hammering and drilling all day. Not good when you go there just to relax. and this wasn't mentioned anywhere in the hotel description or small letter.
It’s a good destination for families with kids, since it has a water park inside.I would go back once I know the remodeling is finished.

Guest UserThe room was pretty standard, with a retro vibe and a view of Hankou city. Courage at the front desk provided excellent service. When checking in, she recommended the apartment's 'Green Apple Plan,' which offers a cultural and creative gift instead of daily housekeeping – a pretty novel idea! She also suggested Ronghua Street nearby for authentic Wuhan breakfast. The breakfast restaurant extending its hours until 10:30 AM on weekends was perfect for my late mornings, and they even had local hot dry noodles. My only minor wish is that the dining area were a bit larger. The gym having a punching bag and a table tennis room is a great touch, offering more options for guests who aren't into heavy lifting.

A hot spring resort hotel very close to Wuhan, with complete surrounding facilities, good dining, fitness, hot springs, camping, walking, and photo taking experiences, suitable for family travel. Cathy's service is great, you can consider traveling around Wuhan! This time, it happened to be the opening period of the hot springs, and the elderly and children were very happy. Sister Xiong in the hot spring area was very enthusiastic and gave us a detailed introduction to the distribution and characteristics of each hot spring. There are many service points in the hot spring area, equipped with health tea and dry bath towels, which are well prepared and replaced in time. Recommended experience!

My stay at Yichang Yage Huanju Hotel was fantastic! The location is superb, with a food street just a few steps away, making it super convenient to try all the local specialties. The room was clean and bright, the bedding was soft, and I felt very comfortable. The staff were attentive, responsive, and paid great attention to detail. It offers excellent value for money. If you're visiting Yichang, choosing this hotel is a surefire win – I highly recommend it!

We had an excellent stay here. The room was great, the food was tasty, and the location/views superb. But more than any of that, the next-level service provided by the staff was perhaps the best I have ever received. We had a lot of difficulty navigating the Wudangshan bus system, hiking timing, etc, and the staff were always willing to discuss and solve problems for us over WeChat. Without them our trip would not have been possible. Highly recommend.
