Amazing
Cchet_l91Dinner: Kaiseki Ryori: We stayed for two nights, and the kaiseki dinner on the first night wasn't very good; the taste was mediocre, and some of the pairings just didn't work. The second night, I didn't want sashimi, so I asked the hotel if everything could be cooked, and it turned out to be surprisingly better than the first night. Meanwhile, I saw the people next to us still getting various sashimi dishes.
CChabrior TurbuloThe most comfortable bed I’ve ever had in a hotel.
We had some of the best sleep during our stay. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, with plenty of pillows and soft, high-quality linens. The room itself was spacious, quiet, and very well soundproofed, with lots of space to store luggage and personal items, plus many useful amenities.
The entire hotel has a modern, clean design and is kept in excellent condition. The staff were very kind, professional, and spoke English, which made everything easy. They even provided umbrellas free of charge when it rained, which was a thoughtful touch.
The hotel bar also deserves a mention. The service was excellent, the drinks were very good, and the parfaits were delicious. Since parfaits are very popular locally in Sapporo, I definitely recommend trying one here.
The location is convenient too: just a short walk from Susukino and the Sapporo city center, close to the station by a few metro stops, and easy to reach by taxi.
Overall, this Marriott was a real gem. Because of such a pleasant experience here, I’ll definitely consider staying at other Marriott Courtyard hotels in the future.
GGuest UserHave been to this airport 3 times, 1st time using this hotel to catch the early morning flight out. It’s ambience quite an eerie experience, a bit difficult to find the hotel initially😄
Otherwise the room was big, toilet & amneties was great! Staffs were very helpful & friendly. Would highly recommend this place if wanna good rest before flight out.
AAnonymous UserThis stay was pretty average, nothing particularly remarkable. The basic cleanliness of the room was acceptable, with no obvious dirt or mess, but the facilities were a bit old and not very convenient to use. Check-in at the front desk was a normal speed, and while the service wasn't overly enthusiastic, it was polite, and they answered questions simply. The soundproofing was mediocre; I could hear some hallway noise at night. The value for money was just okay – no special surprises, but no major issues either. It's the kind of place you could stay at, or easily skip.
GGuest UserLoved that the hotel allows guests with tattoo to use the onsen though this wasn’t made known explicitly with written signs. Hotel was located at the end of Tanukoji so it’s a distance from the main area although still walkable.
Note that the bathroom doesn’t have a space to put your dry clothes and you will have to wear it outside unless you do not mind the bottom of your pants getting wet. Not very convenient for mix gender groups even though there’s a blind you can draw but still be visible from the mirror reflection. Room was located in the annex building which has alot of stairs so not that convenient for elderlies too. Overall, decent hotel but recommended only if you have no issues walking or are driving.
WWozhenshanshuiThe room was fantastic! I felt like I got my money's worth just from the buffet – I stayed for 4 days and gained 1kg! Soaking in the hot springs twice a day was incredibly relaxing. The ice activities on Lake Akan were a lot of fun. There's a free shuttle to the Lake Akan Ski Resort, where I skied for 3 days and finally got the hang of it. This stay was incredibly good value for money.
GGuest UserWe’ve stayed here for 7 nights. Which was a bit longer stay for Sapporo. However as the weather was so bad with heavy snow, so we did enjoy our stays in hotel during the snowy weather. The breakfast is so great and we expect it every morning, as it includes a variety of foods so you always can find something to enjoy. All staffs are very friendly and welcoming, especially two male & senior chefs at ramen and omelette. We also bought spa in our room rate, so every night we did enjoy a pleasant spa( though it’s not hot spring). In front of hotel, there is a small mall - BIVI , which with some good restaurants ,nice cafe (Gentle Bagel) and coop. Even at the heavy snowing days, you have no worries to spend time in. B1 with very practical laundry service , costs are fairly . If you have budget, you can choose only room (without breakfast and spa) plans, which is with very CP, strongly recommended.
GGuest UserThis hotel is nestled high in the mountains, between Lake Toya and the Sea of Japan. The view from the window is absolutely stunning. They offer a shuttle service from the train station, and there's also a stop for Lake Toya. The Japanese breakfast was incredibly refined and delicious. Unfortunately, my stay was too short, and I didn't get a chance to explore Lake Toya. I'll definitely be back for another two nights!
GGuest UserAlthough the room isn't huge, it has everything you need. There's space under the bed for luggage, so even the most basic room, despite being small, doesn't feel cramped. There's a decently long and wide desk for putting things on, and the windowsill is also quite wide, so you can draw the curtains and use it to display your souvenirs for photos. The wardrobe area for hanging clothes is also very spacious and deep! Even though the room isn't big, the bathroom is still plenty spacious and doesn't feel tight. We went to the hot springs an hour before closing, but it was still incredibly clean and tidy. Even if the parking spots in front of the hotel are full, there are other parking options available for guests.
GGuest UserThis onsen hotel is definitely worth the price. The environment and hygiene are excellent, and the room layout is fantastic. The yukata was the most comfortable I wore during my Hokkaido trip. The service was absolutely superb, especially the proprietress at the Kaiseki restaurant, Shoan. She was incredibly elegant and generous, giving us an authentic and meticulous Japanese service experience. The private onsen with a fee had average views. The outdoor public onsen was closed on the day of my stay due to cold weather. The indoor onsen, for a hotel of this price point, was quite ordinary. Therefore, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the onsen experience. All in all, while it might not be exceptionally surprising, this is a hotel that's well worth its price.
