Hotel is in the city centre and quite close to the basement metro. We can walk to the beer museum and the tanukikoji shopping street nearby. It's also a short distance walk to reach the underground shopping shops, which was very convenient. However the hotel doesn't provide hot water refills at the lobby, refills are only reachable inside the breakfast diner. We ordered hotel breakfast for the first day of stay but not for the second and third night, but the breakfast diner's receptionist still kindly let us in for refills of the hot water. Breakfast is on moderate level and menu variety could be better still, regarding the price paid. Not much seafood options to be found, besides the mini sashimi don.
This was my third stay, and I chose this hotel again because my previous two experiences were so good. However, this time was truly unacceptable. We arrived at the hotel around 11 AM. My daughter had injured her leg while skiing, so we asked the middle-aged woman at check-in if we could check in early. She said yes, but we'd have to pay for an additional day – what a rip-off! The funny thing is, they told us we could wait in the lobby until 3 PM without paying. The lobby was nice, so we decided to wait there instead of wasting about 1700 RMB. But then, to our surprise, we saw the staff taking our luggage and other belongings to our room much earlier, while we weren't allowed to enter. Crazy! On top of that, the Wi-Fi signal this time was incredibly poor, almost unusable. Reporting it to the hotel didn't help either; we had to use our own data. So, this stay was truly, truly, truly disappointing! Attached is a photo of my daughter in a wheelchair, and they still wouldn't let us check in early. That middle-aged woman was so inhumane!
The hotel is located in Odori, not far from Odori subway station, and actually quite close to Sapporo Station, about a 9-minute walk. The area is relatively quiet but still has convenience stores and restaurants, so the location is pretty good.
I booked a Cross Floor room with a view of Sapporo TV Tower. The room isn't huge, but just about big enough to open two suitcases. The hotel doesn't provide bottled water; you need to get drinking water from the dispenser in the elevator area. However, guests on the Cross Floor get complimentary access to the lounge and public bath, which is a big plus for those who enjoy a drink.
The breakfast selection was a bit limited and didn't feature any particularly impressive dishes.
While the rooms were a bit small, the hotel boasts an excellent location right by the river, adjacent to Nusamai Bridge. Just two blocks away, the evenings come alive as a vibrant food and entertainment district. The hotel's public bath was impressively large, featuring a sauna and an open-air rotenburo. A fantastic bonus was the big screen TV in the rotenburo! Breakfast options were limited, but the food was delicious. Kushiro Station is a mere 10-minute walk away, and MOO Pier is even closer, just 5 minutes on foot. Overall, the convenience was outstanding!
I usually don't leave negative reviews, but Hotel Taisetsuzan was the exception during my entire Hokkaido trip. 1. The hotel's exterior and lobby are nice, there are even performances in the lobby at night, and the hot springs are good. However, the toilet in the room constantly smelled, which was a first for me. I was too tired to report it to the hotel. 2. Since the room was a tatami room, there weren't many amenities, not even bottled water, so I had to go downstairs to buy some myself! 3. The service was alright; the futons were already laid out during dinner. However, it definitely didn't live up to the 2000+ yen per night price tag!
The room was decent, no bathtub but the hotel has a public bath, which is standard for a business hotel. It's near Nakajima-Koen subway station, just across the street. A heads-up for everyone, it's in Nakajima Park, so if you're not near Susukino or Odori, it's a bit of a walk. It's not out of the way, but you do have to walk. Sapporo's subway isn't as frequent as Tokyo's, so sometimes walking might get you there just as fast. It's quite a hassle to drag luggage and parents through the snow when you can't use the underground walkway.

First off, the environment was great, and the facilities felt like a proper hotel. The deluxe single capsule space was also very comfortable. However, my room key, which was in its holder, went missing from my bed! When I went to check out after freshening up, I found the key holder empty. I retraced my steps for dozens of meters, but couldn't find it anywhere. I strongly suspect someone stole it when I went to freshen up and didn't close my curtain... Even though I've stayed in many hostels, I've never had anything stolen before... This card seems to be for accessing floors and the main door, not specific bed numbers, so everyone, please be careful with your personal belongings. Then, it was already checkout time, and I was charged 2000 yen for the lost card. The most frustrating part was when I came back to pick up my luggage. I was sitting at the counter next to the front desk for a few minutes waiting for someone, and then a middle-aged lady from the front desk specifically came over to tell me that after checking out, I wasn't allowed to sit in any of the public areas... I was practically kicked out, and my impression of the place instantly soured.

This is a fantastic hotel! The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and very functional. The kitchen is well-equipped with dishes and cookware, making it perfect for cooking and doing laundry, ideal for longer stays. The location is also quite convenient.
For transportation, it's a 2-minute walk to the tram station, a 10-minute walk to Susukino Station, and within a 15-minute walk to Tanukikoji Shopping Street.
Nearby, there's a 24-hour supermarket and a 24-hour drugstore/daily necessities store. For convenience stores, there are several Lawsons, and one 7-Eleven and one FamilyMart.
The lobby functions as a cafe during the day, and after business hours, guests can use the lobby space for dining or other activities.
This is definitely a gem in Furano, the room is incredible but it will be better with bathtub! I was given a warm welcome by the staff, her smile was just so warm that it could melt the snow and ice outside the hotel.
The hotel's onsen is fantastic according to my wife and I don't have time to visit Onsen as I spent my time with my daughter inside the kid room, very clean and spacious kid room it has.
The internet speed is also blazing fast compared to other hotels in Hokkaido (Have to work while travelling).
Looking at the price and the room I'm getting, it is really worth every single cent!
We had a great time skiing at the Furano Hotel with our kids. It was super convenient – you can buy ski passes and rent equipment right on the second floor, and then you're directly on the slopes. It was our first time experiencing Hokkaido's powder snow! The room size was average, but we could easily open two large suitcases. The buffet dinner, which requires a reservation, had a fantastic variety, including Wagyu beef and large crab claws. The onsen experience was good; the indoor bath was quite spacious, while the outdoor one was smaller and got pretty crowded. The hotel also offers a direct bus to Asahikawa, stopping at Furano Station and Biei. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

The Hotel is located near to the train station, easy access to central area, the room is very specious, clean, and very comfy to stay. I did have breakfast, and it was very delicious.
We had a really fantastic time at Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Resort which was a once in a lifetime experience for us. The area is beautiful and the spa has everything you need for a fantastic and relaxing stay. We stayed in a Premier Suite and the rooms are fantastic - fully equipped and spacious with all amenities, and a fantastic private Onsen to relax in.The staff at the spa were extremely friendly and helpful, and attentive to all of our needs. We'd love to come back some time and would highly recommend!
We stayed in a nice big family room for 4 which actually can accommodate 6 guests. Recommend for bigger families. The view from our room is amazing during a clear snowy morning… but the Sapporo experience is even better during a snowy winter night! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to be close to Susukino, Odori Park and Tanukikoji Shopping Street. Everything is close by but not too crowded and noisy. 👍👍👍
This hotel is exceptional, we are touched by the staff’s warm hospitality from the welcome drink to room service and hotel introduction. The room was huge and comfortable, offering a runway view and beautiful sunrise in the morning. I love the hotel onsen and the buffet breakfast was really good. I will definitely stay here again when I come to Hokkaido!
The hotel staff is polite and friendly thier place is excellent clean and safe especially thier spa will recommend to friends if they are travelling to sapporo.
The view on Lake Toya from the hotel was spectacular. We were lucky to have witnessed the cloud sea and sunrise. From the other angle, we could see the full view of Mt Yotei, also known as Hokkaido Fuji. There are few restaurants in the hotel, including the Japanese, Chinese, French, and the Italian. There was also good onsen in the hotel, both idoor and outdoor. We will definitely come back to stay again in the future.
The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is modern Japanese-style room and very clean. Also, the breakfast & dinner is nice. We enjoyed the public bath a lot which has both indoor and outdoor. We enjoyed our stay here.
Nice Onsen resort and we like the private Onsen inside the room. The room is huge but it will be great if it has international channels or even Netflix or YouTube. It provides transport to Sapporo so that is great. Nice free drinks and snacks at night.
Best of the best! I didn’t wanna leave the hotel at all. The dinner was amazing and soo much food with free Sapporo beer as a complimentary! The bedroom view is magical and I love the onsen both in our room or the private one! Sooo amazing!!❤️❤️
