I visited Shanghai during the National Day holiday, and Frankie at the front desk made check-in incredibly smooth. Despite the Golden Week crowds, there was no delay at all, and he even proactively upgraded us to a river-view room. As soon as we entered the room, we both gasped – the Lujiazui skyscrapers and Yangpu Bridge were right outside our window! We enjoyed the river view by day and the dazzling lights by night, taking endless photos. Breakfast was also fantastic, with both Chinese and Western options, leaving us energized and ready to explore. To have such a great experience during Golden Week, I have to give a big shout-out to the front desk!

I booked it for my friend, so
Perfect for its price:
- the free airport shuttle, which can be used so many times as you want (I used it everyday, cause it was easier to get to downtown by taking the black suburb railway line from the airport)
- simple but nice, yummy and nutritious breakfast in chinese style. Coffee machine, milk, soy milk, cereal cookies, chinese style pickles, rice porridge, a water jar with something strange and curious in it (first, I thought it was a special kind of tea mushroom, but actually it was just a lemon, so don't be scared and drink it), fried noodles with eggs, fried vegetables, eggs, vegetable baozi, corn, sweet potato and pumpkin.
- free laundry and detergine
- two tea bags and two water bottles in a room
- the spacious and clean room

I booked a traditional hotel in Lujiazui, Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai. The lobby was grand, the room was well-maintained, and the facilities were complete. Breakfast was delicious, and the lounge on the 21st floor of the old building offered unparalleled views. Rylie, Joy, and Anna from the Horizon Club, as well as Autumn, the lobby manager, were all very friendly. They took care of my child, addressed our room needs, and even added a bed rail. It was a perfect family trip.

Wonderful stay, I'm glad we decided to pay more to stay here for 2 nights. We came a little earlier and managed to get a romo earlir.e Hotel staff was extreemly helpful to help us to register our disneyland park tickets as our app was slow.
We spent the time in the hotel meeting Woody and Jessie, went to the play room for actitivites before heading to Disney town for dinner. The hotel shuttle is wonderful.
We went for early entry, and reached the shuttle area about 6.45am and were already 2 rows back. Both mornings were about the same, placing us on the 2nd shuttle bus to disney. The shuttle was great, putting us at the side entrance from disneytown which was very near to tomorrowland.
Do note that the shuttle for before 5pm returning is further away where all the other buses are. The shuttle for after 5pm will be an exclusive for disneyland hotel and toy story hotel, at Disney town re- entry area.
Our hotel stay was fantastic. The only part I'd have loved for them to change, was to include a larger room service menu. There weren't many options.. and they didn't allow external deliveries

The hotel room was clean and tidy, and the location was excellent, very close to Line 8, so you can take the subway anywhere. It's very convenient for those who need to go to the airport and high-speed rail station. There are plenty of food options nearby, and the hotel service was super great! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The hotel gym was also good.
This hotel is super convenient, just a 20-meter walk from Xiepulu Station on Metro Line 14. In the evening, you can take a five-minute stroll to the riverside and enjoy the night view of Yangpu Bridge. Dining options and convenience stores are also easily accessible. The front desk staff are really welcoming and always greet you warmly whenever you pass by. The room was clean and well-maintained, no issues there. For Shanghai, this hotel offers excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

Location: The hotel boasts an exceptional location, situated in the Jin Mao Tower, one of the 'Lujiazui Trio,' right next to the Shanghai Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center.
The hotel's design seamlessly blends Eastern aesthetics with Western architectural beauty, exuding both old-money charm and luxurious style. All hotel staff are also bilingual in Chinese and English.
Experience: Our entire stay was fantastic. Since it was my birthday, Mia from Guest Services specially arranged a room upgrade for us. From the room, we could see the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Bund, and even the Magnolia Plaza across the river in North Bund. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the light show from here during the National Day holiday.
Mia and her colleagues also prepared a Tiramisu birthday cake and flowers for me, for which I am truly grateful.
Pool and Spa facilities: The indoor swimming pool's water quality was exceptionally clear, easily ranking among the top three of all the hotels I've visited. The sauna and cold plunge bath I experienced afterward were also excellent.
The only area for improvement is that there was no discount for in-house guests at the hotel's buffet lunch. Even so, we will still choose to stay at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai on our next visit to Shanghai.
Mia's professionalism and hospitality deserve commendation from the hotel and serve as an example for other service staff.
Many thanks to the Grand Hyatt Shanghai 🙏🏻

For the same price point, this hotel's smart facilities really stand out. The service is definitely a major plus; all the front desk staff were very friendly and professional, making check-in a breeze. The room decor is quite fresh and modern, and the basic amenities are more than sufficient.

The cleaning lady was incredibly kind and efficient, truly the warmest and most enthusiastic service we encountered at the hotel. Although the hotel is older, it's very well-maintained and clean, with comfortable bedding. The guest demographic was overwhelmingly international, almost exclusively foreign visitors. There's a laundry room available. However, the restaurant and hotel services seemed a bit disconnected.

If you're looking to save money on your Disney trip, but still want to be close to the park and have a comfortable night's sleep, this hotel is a convenient and practical choice for a quick stay.
📍 **Location & Transportation**
It's not far from Disney, and there's a shuttle service to and from the park, making it easy to get there early, watch the parades, and head back after finishing the rides. For guests on a tight schedule, this is the most crucial and practical aspect.
🛏️ **Room Experience**
The rooms aren't huge, but they're well-equipped, including a capsule coffee machine, which is great for a refreshing cup in the morning. The view outside is a lush green suburban landscape, which isn't claustrophobic; instead, it's quite peaceful and pleasant to look at.

GGuest UserI came to Shanghai this time for both a business trip and a short getaway, and choosing this guesthouse exceeded my expectations. The room has a great view; I could enjoy the city streetscape in my free time, and after a busy day, looking at the city lights outside the window really helped ease my fatigue.
The hygiene was impeccable. There was no strange smell upon entering, the floors were spotless, no dust on the tables, and the bedding was fresh and fluffy. The bathroom area was also kept clean, with no water stains or hidden corners on the vanity – it's clear the host pays great attention to detail. All sorts of daily necessities were well-prepared, with towels and toiletries provided, so I didn't need to buy anything extra. The room facilities were very practical: stable internet speed made working on documents and video calls smooth, appliances worked perfectly, the air conditioning cooled effectively, and there was ample storage space for luggage and clothes.
The surrounding area is very convenient. There are supermarkets and restaurants downstairs, making dining and shopping easy. It's not far from the subway station, which saved me time and effort whether I was going to work or visiting Shanghai attractions. The host provided thoughtful service, giving detailed instructions about access and travel tips before check-in. They were very responsive to questions, communication was simple and efficient without being intrusive, offering a lot of freedom.
Overall, the stay was quiet and comfortable, suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. Compared to a hotel, it offered more of a relaxed, home-like feeling and was great value for money. If I come to Shanghai again, I would prioritize staying here, and I highly recommend it to friends visiting Shanghai for business or traveling solo.

GGuest UserThe newly renovated room was incredibly comfortable, like coming home after a day at Disneyland. The 1.35-meter bed was super cozy 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. Plus, the Disney shuttle service was a huge relief. Breakfast was amazing and delicious; I ate so much by myself! 😋

GGuest UserI was on a business trip and looking for a hotel near my chain gym. This one was newly opened and reasonably priced. The location is super convenient, right by Century Avenue metro station, with two shopping malls within 300 meters. The first night, I was on the second floor. It seemed like there was a staff walkway right outside my window. People kept passing by and talking loudly until 11:30 PM, making it hard to sleep. Then, before 5 AM, some kids were screaming in the hallway, and their parents didn't do anything. It was torture! I went downstairs to work out and asked the front desk if I could switch rooms. They moved me to the sixth floor, and that night was much better. What's great is that the room rate wasn't expensive, and the room itself was clean and tidy, with no weird smells. Plus, the AC even had a sleep mode and a timer function, which was perfect for me. Overall, this hotel is good value for money. My only regret is that I wore a white tank top to sleep on the first night, took it off and left it on the bed. I forgot to take it when I switched rooms, and when I asked the front desk later, they told me the cleaning staff hadn't seen it. 🙃

GGuest UserThis hotel offers excellent value for money. Right across the street, you'll find Xiao Shanghai Pedestrian Street, and Wanda Plaza is just 500 meters behind, making it a fantastic spot for dining, shopping, and entertainment. The room was quite spacious, and the facilities were clean. The staff were friendly, proactive, and welcoming. Overall, I was very satisfied.
MMeishaonvThis Ultraman-themed hotel I stayed in this time was absolutely bursting with elements! 🔥 From the lobby to the corridors, it was full of life-sized standees of Tiga and Zero. The moment I walked in, I couldn't stop taking pictures! 📸
The room was even more amazing! Detail-oriented people will be absolutely thrilled and practically spinning in circles 💫.
To all the moms with kids and working adults looking to relive their childhood memories, you HAVE to check out this hotel! From check-in to check-out, it's a completely immersive experience. It's honestly the happiest themed hotel I've stayed in this year, no contest! ‼️

GGlücksstern•^,*•The hotel was easy to find, and our room was right next to the front desk. The door was quite thin, so we could hear almost every sound, which meant the soundproofing wasn't great. However, the bed was large, and the bathroom was also spacious. The only issue was that when the water came out, it looked like it had rust in it, indicating poor water quality. The location was excellent, perfect for a short-stay room when you have a long layover.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel offered excellent value for money. I was looking for a highly-rated hotel close to the station that included breakfast, and I chose this one. Despite being in a lower price range, the hospitality was excellent, and I felt very comfortable during my stay. However, there was construction going on, and noise echoed through the rooms from 7 AM until late in the evening. It might not be suitable for those who want a quiet stay. The tea with nutmeg and goji berries available at the front desk was delicious, and I drank it every day. Because the kitchen was malfunctioning, we, being vegans, couldn't eat the alternative meal they prepared, but they kindly provided us with something else, which we greatly appreciated. The photo shows the vegan meal from our first day. The female staff at the front desk were very helpful in many ways.
Also, English is probably not spoken. My husband speaks Chinese, so I left everything to him.
