JW Marriott Hotel Sanya Dadonghai Bay

Specialist Jill was absolutely fantastic! She contacted us two days before check-in and was incredibly responsive, day or night, resolving any issues quickly and efficiently. The hotel itself also exceeded my expectations. I loved everything, from the water-themed sofas in the lobby to the huge indoor and outdoor play areas. I was especially happy with my executive lounge access this time. The best part was being able to enjoy the executive lounge while also getting a room on the top floor of the West Wing, which had an amazing view. The 'Shan Hai Jing' themed room was excellent too – honestly, everything was perfect. We even went tide pooling in the reef area below the hotel. This is definitely a hotel I'd highly recommend to my friends!

I originally booked an executive suite with a sea view on another platform, but forgot to make a reservation... By the afternoon, there were no sea view rooms left, so I temporarily chose a mountain view, which was also great. The room was spacious, and my family was very satisfied. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly helpful, arranging two rooms for us even though the sea view rooms weren't available. I'm very grateful for their assistance. My child loved the kids' room key card. In the evening, they delivered fruit and even brought a stroller for my child. Staying at the Marriott with a child was a very thoughtful experience! The afternoon tea was delicious, but the wait was too long, about two hours. I hope they can improve that.

The air conditioning in the room would automatically turn off whenever I left. The staff said it was because the door was open, but even after I made sure all doors and windows were shut, it still turned off when I left. I didn't get any room upgrade or late checkout. The rocky beach downstairs has a fence, so you can't normally get close (though you could climb over). Breakfast was just okay.

Sanya Family Trip | JW Marriott Dadonghai Review – So thoughtful it made me cry! 😭 We took a taxi from the Hilton to the Greentown Sanya Dadonghai JW Marriott. Check-in was smooth at 4 PM. We booked the 'Stargaze Babies' room, and for families with two kids, it's an absolute no-brainer! 🥳 The layout truly understands parents traveling with children! One king bed + one bunk bed. The room isn't huge, but it's fully equipped with everything you need. Kids' amenities and thoughtful details are all in place, making for a very comfortable stay. In the evening, we discovered a new activity – we went to the pool at the adjacent Autograph Collection hotel. The evening breeze combined with the sound of the waves created such a wonderful ambiance. It was super photogenic! 📸 We listened to the waves, watched the live performance, and observed the kids playing in the water – it truly felt like a perfect vacation. I have to specially praise the incredibly thoughtful and amazing service at JW Marriott!! Our flight was scheduled for the evening of the second day. We originally requested a late check-out until 3 PM. At noon, the hotel proactively contacted us. Because there were guests checking in later, they thoughtfully asked if we'd be open to switching to a standard room type. They then extended our check-out to 5 PM for free! 😭 This was truly so considerate! It didn't inconvenience the next guests, and it gave us ample time to rest, shower the kids, and get ready. Staying during the off-season really brought so many pleasant surprises! In the afternoon, the kids were full of energy again. They had a blast playing in the Marriott pool until 4 PM. Water volleyball was their favorite, and they absolutely didn't want to leave. By 5 PM, we were packed and ready, concluding our trip perfectly as we took a taxi to the airport ✈️. The entire experience was seamless, and Marriott's service really won us over. For families with two kids visiting Sanya, this Dadonghai location is definitely worth it! #SanyaFamilyTrip

Service: Definitely lives up to its five-star rating! The service was incredibly thoughtful; a staff member brought my luggage up, and Rose even added me on WeChat to ask if I had any special requests. They even provided different sized slippers for men and women, which shows great attention to detail. Cleanliness: Very clean. Ambiance: The overall layout looked very comfortable. Facilities: Everything was great except for the slightly small shower room.

This was my second stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Sanya Dadonghai Bay. Last time, I stayed in the Yinghai Suite, and this time, a big thank you to Bentle at the front desk for upgrading us to a themed family room. Check-in was very quick. Unfortunately, the typhoon had just passed, so the pool and outdoor children's playground were temporarily unavailable. Jill provided impeccable service throughout our stay, which we greatly appreciated. It’s definitely worth staying here again next time we visit Sanya.

The hotel's location is excellent and very convenient. Koala, the staff member, provided incredibly warm and attentive service, helping us with many issues. We arrived during a typhoon, so many facilities were temporarily closed. I'm especially grateful for Koala's help. The room was clean and spacious, making for a very comfortable stay. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Sanya Dadonghai Bay during my trip to Sanya. It's a shame my visit was affected by the typhoon, but the hotel's guest relations officer, Rose, provided incredibly thoughtful and attentive service. It happened to be my son's birthday on our first day, and the hotel sent a small cake and decorated the room, which definitely deserves a five-star rating! However, most of the hotel's kids' activities and playground are better suited for younger children, so my kids only found a few things they were interested in.

The hotel's location is very convenient, close to the city center. The staff member, Koala 🐨, provided thoughtful and attentive service, which was great.
