Mandarin Oriental Pudong Shanghai

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai, far exceeded our expectations, and we especially want to thank Wenbo at the front desk for his outstanding service. He was not only professional and efficient but also genuinely caring, which made us feel incredibly welcome. During check-in, he noticed we weren't familiar with the area and proactively offered a handwritten guide with recommendations for local transportation and dining. He even upgraded us to a river-view room beforehand, saying he hoped we would enjoy Shanghai's night views even more. The next morning, he specifically asked if our child needed a kids' bathrobe and slippers. This level of thoughtful anticipation, without us even having to ask, truly embodies the essence of Oriental hospitality. Wenbo's service went beyond standard procedures; it was filled with respect and care for us as individuals. He made us feel that this was not just a luxury hotel, but a warm sanctuary. The Mandarin Oriental's 'Legendary Service' was most vividly exemplified through him.

The suite was really unique and my kids loved it, but our rest was disturbed by the time difference and evening happy hour of the foreign guests across the hall. However, the service was still excellent. As for the location, you have to take a taxi to get to the surrounding city center. My kids absolutely fell in love with the scent of the toiletries.

This stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's location is superb, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was very quick. The room was clean and tidy, with super soft and comfortable bedding. It had great natural light and ventilation, and was especially quiet at night, allowing for a full night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and all the toiletries were provided. The breakfast selection was also rich and the taste was excellent. It offers incredible value for money, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area!
