Wuzhizhou Island Resort

The hotel facilities are a bit old, but the island scenery is beautiful. Driver Gong Kai, who provided the airport drop-off service, was excellent. He drove smoothly and steadily, and was patient and attentive throughout the journey. He proactively helped with luggage and planned the route efficiently. His communication was gentle and polite, and his service was incredibly thoughtful. It made for a very comfortable travel experience, highly recommended!

The service was quite good, and the environment was decent. The pool was a definite highlight. My only complaint is that the prices were too high.

We chose a cabin, which was in pristine condition. We did spot a small gecko, but overall, the room was very clean and offered a beautiful view. Although it was a bit far from the lobby and the pier, we could call an electric cart anytime. At night, we could hear the sound of the waves and see the stars. On the first night, there was a power outage for about ten to twenty minutes due to a tripped circuit breaker. It was completely silent and dark, with only the sound of the waves accompanying us, which felt wonderful. The room came with a complimentary mini-bar for the first round, but unfortunately, the fridge wasn't cooling again, so we ended up with warm drinks. The hotel breakfast was decent, and the swimming pool was large and open late. =========== Next, about Wuzhizhou Island: Wuzhizhou Island is a pure amusement island, offering various activities and photo ops. The prices are high, but everything is clearly marked, so you pay if you're willing. Perhaps because of the high prices, the entire island is well-maintained, though you still occasionally see construction sites – it feels like endless development. There are always people cleaning the island, and plenty of trash cans, yet you still frequently see tourists littering. I originally planned to stay on the island for two nights to enjoy its tranquility, take walks, and swim, with no interest in taking photos. However, many areas on the island are only accessible by electric cart and not open to pedestrians. Although the island isn't huge, there were many places I couldn't reach. Furthermore, even though it's already summer and the pier has moved to the summer location, the beach area still faces rough waves and frequently displays red flags, making it impossible to swim. Meanwhile, the summer pier side has many calm stretches of water that aren't open to tourists. The only other opportunity to get into the sea is by participating in water sports, which cost 200-300 yuan per session. I don't object to making money, but everything here seems geared towards profit. For someone who just wants to quietly enjoy the blue skies, green trees, and the sea, the experience is really quite mediocre.

The front desk staff's service attitude was really disappointing – they seemed completely uninterested. Check-in on Saturday was a nightmare because it was so busy. There were a lot of stairs and no one offered to help with my large suitcase. The only bright spot was the very enthusiastic cleaning lady. The hotel's environment is indeed amazing, though the layout felt like a maze. Having the entire island to ourselves was fantastic, and the rooms are huge. Sitting on the balcony, watching the sea and listening to the waves was lovely. The hotel breakfast was good, and they even had fresh squeezed juice. The only downside was a centipede in the cabin bathroom, but otherwise, everything was great. It would be fantastic if the pool in the cabin area reopened; otherwise, it's a hassle to call a car just to get to the main lobby's pool.

It was alright. There were indeed geckos, and you could call the front desk anytime to arrange a pick-up. The wooden cabins are great for photos. The air conditioning wasn't very effective; even at 16°C, it was still uncomfortably hot. The value for money was excellent though. For the three optional activities, we got a 70% discount, paying 66 instead of the original 220. That was quite fun. In the evening, we went clam digging, and it was beautiful with very few people around.

The shuttle driver, Li Cai, provided excellent service. The hotel's electric buggy drivers were also great, helping with luggage, and the buggies arrived quickly. Check-in at the front desk was very fast. Although there were a few minor hiccups, the duty manager on that day resolved everything. Next time, I'll definitely try staying in the main building. The fast pass is amazing; they pick you up and drop you off from the log cabins to the main building! If you haven't booked activities in advance, you can do so at the ticketing center opposite the front desk after checking in. Hotel guests get a discount, and thanks to Xiao Xu from the ticketing center for his patient explanation. The diving was fantastic for photos, and I had coach number 142! You can even catch a glimpse of the sea from Yunhai, which is pretty nice!

The Wuzhizhou Island Coral Hotel's shuttle service was excellent. Our driver, Brother Li Cai, greeted us with a smile and even helped us with our luggage. He drove very smoothly and steadily, and he dropped us off right at the lobby of our next hotel, saving us a lot of hassle. Thumbs up!

Although the room was a bit old, the hardware was still fine, but there's room for improvement in the soft services. It should be off-season now, but I still waited over ten minutes to check in. I can only imagine what it would be like during peak season... I booked a Cloud Sea Cabin, which is quite far from the lobby. There are golf carts available, so getting there wasn't an issue. However, carrying luggage up to the room from downstairs was quite a challenge. The staff's attitude was okay, but they didn't offer any help. As soon as I entered the room and put my things down, I was hit with another surprise: the bathrobe was covered in ants! Luckily, I hadn't put it on. I didn't find any other ants elsewhere in the room. (I left the bathrobe at the room door and mentioned it to customer service, but it was still there when I checked out.) The scenery is quite nice, and there are indeed a lot of people. If you truly want to enjoy yourself, I recommend staying for a night. Waking up at 7:00 AM allows you to have places like Lover's Island and various photo spots all to yourself. Then, at 8:00 AM, head for the buffet breakfast; the seafood noodles are truly amazing! If you go late, the queue can be very long. After breakfast, if you want to enjoy the attractions, try to set off before the crowds arrive on the island. Your enjoyment will increase significantly.

The shuttle service at Coral Hotel is excellent, especially helpful for elderly guests who have trouble walking. The driver was very friendly and enthusiastic.
